calm down boys I was waiting for a few nibbles, They are going to be off to the anodizers in the next few weeks, they (the Ducati shop) had to order a special tool to remove the threaded part of the shock from the body, and it is on back order until next week sometime... Then they are going to be treated to a nice black anodizing spa treatment..

Where is the rest of the forks?? lol

It was recommended to not mess with the inner fork tube as the coating is a special Ohlins formula or something and there isn't much out there too much better.. So no spa day for these parts...

Very nice. So no anodizing the outer tubes?

Where are you taking them to be anodized?

Lookin for someone to do my wheels.

Why would you anodize it and not keep the Ti nitrate? Thats a step backwards isnt it? I could understand if you were putting DLC coating but anodizing it is confusing to me.

b9009b and ScrapperX, the Outer tubes (gold upper tube) are the only tubes to be sent out for Anodizing, The inner (lower Ti Nitride treated tubes) are not being touched..

JPKII I am not sure who is doing the Anodizing, as I sourced these parts to Indy Ducati, If you would Like I could get you their Info..

Just a side note on titanium-nitride plating: The process itself is very hot. I did it for my MV showa forks. The chances were 50% that the inner tubes deformate. Others had this problem!

The black and gold looks smick!!!! Not sure on the rear shock, but who gives a toss what others say correct, as long as you like it. :)
