hi guys i have the same issue with the oil leak do you guys have pictures? please let me know thank you
mine started to leak, we have fitted similar O rings similar to the older style motors, 996 etc.
with 2 O rings fitted, clutch action was fine and leak seems to have been controlled.
i noticed my leak as a black streak of oil on the left side Exhaust can, when i cleaned it a few times thinking it was chain lube, i found that the rubber lower part of the front sprocket cover mount was full with oil and not chain lube.
i also had first thoughts that the clutch slave was defective, but no loss of fluid was apparent.
after we made 2 grooves on the Clutch push rod with a lathe, 2 o-rings were fitted, similar to the technique to the 996 etc motors, and th leak as stopped. it was a mistake when the engine was overhauled not to change this seal, and as part of the rebuild process, i would be rather careful inserting the shaft on a new seal ( a dab of grease or oil first i would guess)
No. It’s not an o ring. It is a oil seal and it is installed inside the case. You have to split the case to remove it. There wear a handful of 1299 motors built with an additional external o ring in the case.
So the best fix is to grove the rod and install 2 orings as others seems to have done. Want to avoid tearing the bike apart.

oil leak from the clutch pushrod hole (1199 base 2012)
Hi, my friends 1199 base has a bad leak which appears to be around the clutch pushrod shaft. The shaft doesn't have the o rings that the older Ducati models have so does anyone know what is sealing this shaft? There was enough oil leaking to cover his left muffler at our last track day.
