After sitting in storage with a full tank of plain gasoline for 2 years, it cranks after new battery installed but the motor won't start, The ducati dealership tells me the 4 injectors are now clogged and need to be replaced at $600 each. Does this sound correct?

Youtube University is a great resource. I still store everything with an MT tank and it's never proved me wrong.

You can do it with an aerosol injector cleaner and a 9v battery, but you'd get more reliable results taking them to get cleaned. Especially if you want to rule them out as the cause.
Make sure you replace the orings too.
