Okay. So I'm making a 4hr drive tomorrow for :

2013 1199 base white
1450 miles
Just serviced and they re did the fork seals and such while he had it in.
Got the price down to 9800$
Has sent me videos of it starting, running, etc.
Super clean, sounds great. Looks great.

Now... Either convince me to buy it or run! Lol.

... I've been reading a bit. My main major concern is the front forks I read about. Which I don't mind riding them out the season and upgrading next year or just selling and upgrading bike (if I don't fall in love)

Any tips, advice what to check while I'm looking at this bike would be great! Thanks!

That's a good price and its very low miles for an 8yr old bike.
What's your concern with the front forks ? The Marzocchi forks aren't bad, I'd be upgrading the rear shock before the front.

Concerns with seeing alot of front Fork repairs /replacements... I don't do track yet mostly street.

Ohlins makes a kit to change out the internals on those Marzocchi's.

Arrive un anounced with some fresh oil a drain pan and tools to drop said oil drain and inspect .
Its a win for him he gets fresh oil if he refuses wonder why ................then leave.

I have a 2014 base and haven't had any major problems with the forks. The right side fork does leak grease a little bit but i just wipe it off every time I ride. So far the bike has been very reliable, going to do the 15k mile service sometime this summer.

Its a panigale, so you will probably find plastic pieces in the oil lol.

Just as a reference to known issues both happened to mine.
Tank split at the forward mounts check for fuel smell around the key area , it may of had the recall or not been an issue with that particular year tank.
It is a relatively easy fix anyway just remove the tank have the mount brackets underneath welded .If you smell fuel remove the plastic fairing shrouds from around the ignition lock and feel under the forward part of the tank after sloshing the fuel tank back and forth you will feel the fuel .This would be an automatic price reduction good for you and only costs a couple of hundred to fix.
Plastic water pump gear failure : check oil for any shards of hard plastic szwarf during the oil check this is a bit more of an issue as the case needs to be opened and either replaced with new set of OEM gears or what I did replaced with metal gears .It is unlikely but can happen especially if the bike has been tracked producing high heat/rpm levels .
Both very unlikely but worth a check.

Fork seals were an issue with the 1299 due to wheelie control and riders not riding the wheelie out but dropping the front back down. Had an 1199S and never experienced any fork issues. When you start it, go to rev it before the temp gets numbers and see if he allows it. Someone who cares for their Duc won’t let you touch it until it’s warm. Furthermore, run your hands over the edges/corners like peg ends, lever ends, look at the axles, anything that may have touch the ground due to a drop or lay down situation. If it’s scuffed but the tire is not worn to the edges, it’s probably not a bike you want.
