Mano,

Just FYI, a lot of dealerships are advertising left over 1299S's for that price or even less. I've seen quite a few advertised for $19995. Just bringing it up do you aren't surprised by potential buyers (or lack thereof ) bitchin' about your price. Cheers.

I've only seen a used 15 S for $22k and another for $21K. I have seen left over new non-s for 19ish. Lowest I've seen a leftover 15 S is $23500 plus fees and that is 200 miles away from me. Its an asking price so if someone is interested they are welcome to make offers and show me where they can find a new S for 20K, because I've never seen this (and am very skeptical I ever will).

Call Ferraci or any Midwest dealer. I negotiated two different dealers to $19,xxx but decided to just keep my panigale. Additionally two dealerships as of October were selling leftover 2014 1199R for $21,000. Yes, $10,000 off MSRP.

First, I'm not interested in stories of what others have supposedly negotiated. I'm also not interested in what dealers half way across the country are listing their's at. Location plays a big part of the value of an item. If I have to pay shipping or a plane ticket to to buy a bike, that adds significant cost. Also, the swingarm is simply scratched, with no functional damage.

And here is the main point. If I see something for sale that, in my opinion, is priced too high, I simply move on. Or if I am interested in purchasing it, I will make an offer. Thank you for the information but, what I DO NOT do, is post comments on the actual for sale thread attempting to reason why I think something is overpriced, especially if I have no intention of buying the item. It's very poor taste in my opinion.

I would have to agree! Even if you had this listed for 30k people shouldn't say anything unless they intend on possibly purchasing...

I have to be a member of at least 8 different forums and this is the only one that allows this kind of stuff to go on in for sale ads. If you have no interest, why bother posting?

I agree with you OP. I see an out of line price and just move on. I'm also calling BS on a new '15 S priced at $20k.

Totally agree...

The trigger-happy Trolls forget one basic thing. A for sale AD is NOT a discussion thread.

If you feel price is out of line, send the buyer a PM or email. Why would you write something that would affect the sale. Some internet newbie may take your uninformed opinion as fact and not even contact the seller..

Childish behavior...

sorry sometimes honesty is the best help

Fine line between honesty and Douchbaggery... just like there is a fine line between being Not politically correct and a Plain old Racist Bigot..

both lines are often crossed...

just saying..

and for nothing else, motorcyclists are brothers and one should do all we can to look out for one another, as long as no one is being out right Fraudulent..

just my 2 cents
