does anyone else think the headlight look bigger? as in vertically they seem to go higher, but not seeing any shots of daylight running lights(brows) ???
i like the look of the 1199 headlight look!

The intakes are a little different and the nose is wider ala integrated aero pieces. I think the tail is slightly different as well. Since I don't track anymore, I don't need the sophisticated electronics, although I bet they are awesome. As far as the extra power from 85cc's, I probably already have that with a full Termi, blueprinted engine, MWR and Rapidbike Race module.

i agree with you, something odd with the look of the headlights i really don't like, the 1199 is cleaner and sharper, for me i am good with the 1199 till the next update, and about the electronics, i am not racing in wsbk anytime soon.

The Panigale is such an awesome bike. Very interested in how Ducati is going to top it with their next superbike.

Judging by the new angle of the exhaust exit no more cooked ankles at red lights. Before you comment, yes, I only wear sandals when I ride.

Why is there a big ... gap between the grip and bar end on the left side? And will it come that way? I thought the 1299 had the aux switch between the grip and selector assy just like the S and R.

Not a bad looking ride.

However, I know that when the first 1199 came out it brought with it a great deal of awe since it was SO incredibly different than anything else Ducati had out (IMHO anyway). The style, appearance, and how one felt so much different when just sitting on it made a huge difference from previous models to me. Hence why I bought the Tricolore model after effectively selling my 1198s Corse on eBay (which I know was taken apart down to the nuts and bolts and shipped to Thailand) and I got a decent amount for it too!

This model doesnt take my breath away as the 1199 series did when it was first released. Yes, there are noticeable differences if you know what to look for but nothing truly stands out and grabs ahold of you like it did in 2012, to me anyway. Not sure if anyone else really feels this way or even knows what I mean. The feel of the Corse to my Tri was SO much different while seated and of course while under power. I do in fact miss the really low end grunt that the 1198s had. Though it had Traction Control it felt great having the front end come up so easily thru many gears! Don't get me wrong, I love my Tri though I don't ride it anywhere near as much, but thats a personal issue, nothing to do with the bike itself. It is without a doubt much more comfortable to ride on anything more than an hour or more!

So flame me if you wish, but looking at these sweet looking photos of the 1299 it simply doesnt catch me the same way anymore regardless of the upgrades it has. Id sure as hell love to try one out and see what the FEEL is on this new bike, but I don't think I will be posting mine up for sale anytime real soon until they come out with another true SHOCKER of a superbike for us. Meanwhile I will sit back and watch what Ducati can do on TV this year and hope for the best like many of us will be doing! :)
