Roflmfao !!

What if they made a Tricolore 1299 Gunny? Would you trade old faithful in then? :D

Too funny Mike!

To answer your question - if i had an older model like the Corse I spoke about, then I would surely look into it! However, seeing that I have a million dollars into the current Tri there is no reason to move up 100 cc's or whatever it amounts to. Im sorry to sound like a "Gunny Downer" on this whole thing and don't mean to come off slamming it one bit, after all its a beautiful Ducati Superbike isn't it?? :D

I love giving you a hard time lol. It is a beautiful machine. You have a sweet tri and I'm not sure I could get rid of it either.

I Saved This

Hey All-

While cleaning up my bookmarks (or favorites as you PC folks call em)I came across something I saved from way back in the day when the 1199 was launched and it hit me that I read all of these BEFORE I even bought my bike. It was the big news and everyone was reading about it and talking about it just as they are now with the 1299. Shoot I don't know when Duc started this site but i had to be around that time period since this is a Panigale site after all right?

Let us know what date it was you started site ok Duc? It was also cool to meet up with Duc and several other original members in Arlington, VA one night and put faces to names etc. That was a great beginning for sure! :D

Anyway, found this link that I saved and it has LOTS of threads saved in it from the original 1199 reviews and tests so read on if you have an hour! I also see some Old School names on here which I haven't seen in a LONG time- you Senior Alumni will know who Im talking about!

Ever go back and look at what appears to be your first thread ever on here? Based on the info under my stats it was this one which was the infamous "Call" that we got from Italy thanking us and all. Do they still do this with all the present 1199s and now 1299 too or has this fallen away?

Just thought Id share a little bit of history this early morning. Have a great weekend guys and I look forward to reading more about the 1299 too. :D

Maybe just me, but I think the nose on the 1199 looks better.

I do too. The 1299 nose looks more like fireblade (sorry).
Everything else is very nice though.

And I would pay a small amount of $$$ to have that lean indicator on dash :(
And the TC/etc selector on the left grip,

Today was the day.
Took my last trip with the 1199 to the ducati dealer, switched licence plate and away for a short trip. Nice weather in germany, the first really warm and sunny day.
To get into the 1299 ´s behaviour, rain mode was my choice. Very smooth gearshift, up and down at any rpm. No problem stepping down with throttle not closed 100%. Mabe this is different in race or sport mode. The clutch need more force comparing to the 1199 but this could change after some milage.
And it sound more like older ducatis, loud, growling and less rattle as we know from 1199 stock exhaust.

so i went home late:p

Picked up a 1299s about a week ago and absolutely love it. Still breaking it in, but already love the handling far better than my previous 1199 abs and 1098s. I can't wait to get into the upper revs with this thing, but enjoying the cruise till then.
