2016 1299s - 10k Miles, Heavy Gas Smell

Hey guys... I just crossed over 10k miles on my 2016 S, and now my garage smells like a gas station. This was never the case before, but now it's strong enough where the family is complaining.

Any ideas on what would cause a strong gas smell? Maybe it's running rich... really rich? Any advice would be appreciated!

What's your setup? Anything aftermarket?

Don't run any vehicle inside a closed space.

Is the evap canister still attached?

100% stock. I had the service done a few thousand miles ago; maybe they didn't connect something properly? Everything runs fine, though the quick shifter has been acting a little finicky the last few weeks.

Might be time to let the evap canister accidentally fall off the bike. Might be completely saturated in fuel already. That could be where the smell is coming from.

Take the key cover off, then seat, then the silver fuel tank clamp and lift the tank up from the seat end and inspect the fuel hose underneath.
