Rossi has not been a huge boost to sales of Yamaha at any point. It's a myth and proven untrue. Who really knows though sales have been down a cross the board in recent times that's a huge factor. I know I didn't get the pani because of rossi. But i do know i don't buy agv dianese because of him

Mark. You might want to do a little fact checking on your stats. I try to post things based strictly on measurable statistic and data collection, not on emotions. To say that Rossi has not been influential in the global profits of the Yamaha motor Corporation is a clear indicator that you and I do not adhere to the same principals. Hiroyuki Yanagi stated verbatim, that "Valentino has been very good for business" Additionally, go do a little research on the impact that the exit of Rossi would have Dorna's bottom line. I Believe the verb that Carmelo used was "significant". I really get that you have absolutely nothing positive to say about Rossi in any way, shape or form but to be completely ignorant of the accuracy of the compiled data makes is rather difficult to engage you in any sort of a rational conversation. Also the fact that you specifically avoid certain brands because of your distain for Rossi paints a rather interesting picture with regard to your psychology. There are some deeply rooted demons in their my friend.
 
I forgot to add. Other than loosing your mind over Rossi, I really like your other posts and your insight into motorcycles and information in general. Im sure we would get along well as long as we leave #46 out of it.
 
while i agree with you on the dorna aspect i will post some sales stats. what is yanagi going to say we signed an old has been for sales not to win the championship and he delivers neither?
 
ok so when rossi left yamaha for ducati, in 2011, Yamaha sales were down globally. However it had to do with rossi, Southeast Asia and the flooding and economic problems going on in the region that the sales decrease was attributed to. Thus when sales picked up it had nothing to do with rossi just a better economic situation.

so basically if rossi wasnt the reason for the decline according to yamaha and they attributed it to economy (maybe they didnt want to look bad who knows) then when the economy got better how can rossi be the reason for the surge.

now if yamaha said rossi leaving was the reason our sales were down globally then i would be all on board when he came back and sales were up. you cant have it both ways.
 
Simple solution. 2018 Rossi goes to factory Honda replacing MM to finish out his GP stint where he started. Honda sends MM to WSBK to replace Hayden.

im sure we would get along i find very few people i dont get along with. the rossi thing is my personal battle against the drones that dont take anything into account.

if you like rossi great. if you think he is the best all time too great but dont tell me he didnt have advantages things werent slanted his way and he isnt holding a seat from somebody better now.

even worse is the media. they tried to destroy MM so the only successor for rossi now is maverick. nice guy yes but he is really the only one left.

watch the race in jerez listen to the announcers still so joyful as rossi was in 10 but leading the championship by 2 points. hardly a mention about lorenzo and what he did. not a word about honda going 1-2.

i posted on here the links about the obsession with rossi. they were great reads.

if rossi did the move zarco did in texas you would hear what a great move it was and how much fortitude there was to try it.

Aside from his popularity I wonder about the benefit of the doubt given to Rossi by fans as well. It seems for a Rossi fan there is no grey area. And indeed, for casual fans of racing, Rossi will more often than not get the benefit of the doubt without argument. For example, and I offer these without judgement, think of Jerez 2005, Laguna 2008, Motegi 2010 and Jerez 2011. Now, imagine if you will, the reaction to incidents in those four races if Rossi had been in the position of the other guy involved? It’s worth thinking about. Not about who was right or wrong, just simply the shift in public reaction. And there’s a solid scientific reason for that, which I’ll get to.
 
In my case, I like Rossi, I like Ducati, I like motorcycles in general and I like MotoGP.

That being said, they don't pay my bills and at the end of the day I sleep like a baby if Rossi wins or not. Some people just take it to personal (Rossi fans or not)...

Now what you don't get is that not everyone coming out to attack you (at least initially). If fact, it is you who are mostly absurd, erotic, and only "seeing" to your views and when someone is in favor of Rossi or Even Ducati, you really do act stupid and disrespectful. You like Casey? Great You like BMW HP4? Great. Same goes to who likes Rossi and who likes Ducati. I mean last time I checked we are on a Ducati forum and not BMW HP4 site.

Whether you "think" is right about something is irrelevant. It is more about you respecting other people's view, opinion, and as a person in general.

I believe most will accept and agree (including me) About the "flaws" of Rossi's past and mistakes he has done and not going too well with in others cases.

You really do have the right to hate Rossi and Ducati for whatever reasons you have...just dont be a prick to those who have other preferences.

So in conclusion. Causation and correlation is that because you attack people who see it differently than you, so they are returning the favor. :rolleyes::)

young r go through any rossi post i have there is at least one guy on there that has very little posts and you will never ever hear from them again.

perfect example the rossi tyres and some stats post. look at how many "newer" members there are. Im not talking about the banter i have with established members on rossi (thats where you would fall) as i dont care if you curse me out as we have had many conversations or back and fourths. im talking about the Rossi fan that joins specifically to comment on that post that you never hear from again.

hell im not only the goat forum poster i bring this site new members all the time.

perfect example purfuera just look at the post. 4 posts total. what i love though is poor pura with only 4 posts not only knows im a loser lol, he also knows im not a fan of motogp cause i dont speak spanish. alas i suspect its an old friend VAST because hes the only guy i have on block and dont see his messages. im in that guys head so bad its amazing.

ok fair enough about the "newer" members. People do come out of nowhere to ask for Shop Manuals but you never heard or seen them contribute to the forum in any way.
