yup...thats correct - Uncle Sam gets his share on the State level - varies by state (% amount)....some states (Connecticut as an example) charge a "property tax" on it each year (factoring in depreciation each year that passes)

Thanks, what is the highest state VAT and the lowest? And stuff living in Connecticut, cant even spell it right, unless its 0.2% per annum!

on a 100k purchase in Connecticut, the tax is 7.5%...so thats $7,500 when you buy it - then the next year the value of the vehicle has depreciated to say, $80k....so the Tax due is due on that (another 7.5%) and so on year after year - its been said, if you own a bar-b-que on wheels they would tax you on that as well :)

Wow, I wonder if they know that D16s have increased in value!

Unpopular opinion: Folks say it will depreciate like hell but I think the contrary based on what I've seen on the 1299SL. Some even appreciated! Especially those with 0km on the clock and in pristine condition

That is airplane money. And you'd have to be seriously well-heeled to actually put miles on it.

you will be money ahead with the V4 SL, I can promise the maintenance on an airplane is going to be a lot more than. Besides airplanes aren’t near as cool.

I would think it is the same as any other panigale.

This is a street bike. HP4 race is a track built bike. Completely different maintenance requirements.
I guess I forget SL is a street bike cause it’s ultra exclusive. I was inquiring abt maintenance schedule for it at the service center at my local Ducati dealer and they had no info. They would have to send a master mechanic to Italy and it costs too much so they aren’t even qualified to work on those bikes. Crazy. Hope there’s a maintenance schedule posted at some point just to calm my curiosity
