Hello there. So, last weekend i was out riding from about 8am till 5pm. Around the end of the day i noticed a change in the sound of my exhaust. I new something was up. When i got home i was looking and everything seemed fine. I pulled the rear tire off to get a good look at the pipes and found that the OEM rear cylinder header had cracked or should i say broke in half at the weld.
My bike has 3280 miles on it. Seems wild for this to happen so soon or at all really.
I have had this happen before on a 2016 ZX6R, but i think it was due to the headers tapped the road when i hit a dip. Shocked to see this happen up high where there is no way to hit it on anything. Must be a heat stress split or a bad weld from the manufacturer. I've been searching for the OEM used replacement. Any help on correct part number or if anyone has one to sell. I do have the Ducati EverRed Warranty so i may just try and use that.
