Fantastic riding! Looks like you had a few thou left on the rpms to work with. What spec of suspension are you on? Wheels? Basically how do I buy your talent and speed?

The dash is a bit weird, it shows the red line at 15k or something, but I think it's 14,200? And sometimes, as this track is so bumpy, short shifting is your friend :D

Haha, it's the base bike, with a Maxton shock (epic), 1199 wheels (same as the V4S) and stock Showa forks (also epic). But it's the 2022 bike, the chassis geometry is much better than the pre 22 bikes. Turns like a weapon.

Um, I sold the stock front wheel to the guy on the V2 infront of me...

That’s what I thought. Bike looks well damped and smooth so it’s hard to tell how bumpy the track is. Yeah, it looks like 15k is the limiter. It probably soft limits at 14.5.

Just from my paltry 140 break-in miles I’ve also noticed that the front end feels very communicative and predictable. Feels more like my old 675. Can’t wait to take it to the track and really test it.

Yeah man, you'll love it. Red rev limit light cones on about 14k.

If you have time, try shortening the shock for trackdays, it makes the bike even better. I'm at 308mm atm...front is brilliant

I have to give you a hard time that your mate beat you with your heaver front-wheel lol. All kidding aside that was one of your best videos yet, keep up the good work.

Great race Rick

those UK tracks are crazy, with all those upd and downs

great riding

Thanks RODOLFO! Oulton Park is a lot of people's favourite circuit, very rewarding when you really get it right, very physical. It's like the proverbial roller coaster!
Next race is at Cadwell Park, very famous for having a jump half way around :D

We basically have two types of circuit, old airfields (Silverstone, Snetterton, Goodwood, Thruxton) or tracks built by old rich people on their estates (Donington Park, Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park and Oulton Park).

The old rich people's tracks are usually more fun :D

Hmmm?

I video all my track days cause they are so far apart being able to relive them is priceless and you can see exactly what is going on rather than what you think is going on. Good vids Rick , Thanks.

I like your videos a lot Rick, the bike gives you confedence that's clear. From reading your posts you actually didn't change that much on the bike when i'm correct.
You have the EVO3 software loaded yes? Is the QS still OEM, those shifts are nice and crips. Looks very good.
The track looks very fysical, your still in good shape :)
Keep on going!

Hey Rikkie,
haha, not quite fit enough, but working on it! Thanks though :D
Yes, EV03, Woolich flash, slip-on exhaust, Sprint filter, Maxton shock, CRC fairings.
I tried the Cordona shifter, but felt the stock one was better. Not sure, if it's the same on pre 22 bikes (same part, different programming).
