Hi all -.

I have a 2022 V4S. I have a few questions.

1. Does the DQS shifts when you are still the the breaking period, less than 600 miles?

2. Can you change the Ride Mode from Street before the 600 mile service?

3. If you put on an aftermarket exhaust and flash with Upmap or other map, do you lose the function when you put bike into gear, the exhaust note changes - get much louder?

just a lowly parts bin V2 owner but the quick shifter works better at higher rpms/speed. in my opinion and practice, if you have the quick shift on, don't change gears when stopped with the key on...ie; run down the gears before you need to stop.

I believe your bike and all V4s have cylinder cut offs for idle for less heat and those green peeps. So, yes it will get louder off idle.

1. Yes, and you'll find it gets smoother as you get closer to 600 mi. I wouldn't use it at less than 5k RPM. @thomasmryan gives good advice in his post.

2. Yes.

3. What you are hearing is the rear cylinders being deactivated when in neutral or when the clutch lever is pulled in fully to the bar. An aftermarket exhaust won't effect this.

Thanks for all the response. For the life of me, I cannot change from the 'Street' setting to sport. I only have 90 miles on the bike.

I finally figured it out. Had to hold the Select button down. I was pressing it and letting go. Thanks for the help.

@moor9926 Give the manual a read. These bikes are so technically complex with all the different rider modes and settings within these modes that you kind of have to sit down and give it a review. I.e. Race A/B should only be used with slicks or Street mode uses Low Power Mode etc.

The quickshifter on the 2022 works great at pretty much all rpms. It's really slick. I find that clutched shifts seem more clunky as a result of its closer ratios.

I was using the owners manual to help with the ride selection. Thanks for the tip.

Does it yell at you??
In this instance it’s just in plain English

My 2021 QS works flawlessly everywhere, it's brilliant.
The exhaust pitch changes at idle on mine but not all the time, only when it decides to (I have the full akro)

Sport mode is better than street, street is too fluffy and unresponsive off the bottom. Sport is better again with the dB killers removed. Earplugs firmly installed though.....
I haven't had my first service done yet.....
