probably because its a generic term to protect most things from your foot area.....rather than a pedantic its no where near your heel

My bike came with the MotoX Ricambi bodywork. PO replace all the plastic after a minor drop. Ok, it's only a base 2020 model. So shoot me, I'm a poseur. Not going to see the street, track only. You'll never see me parked at a Starbucks.

No, you're a Ducati enthusiast. Starbucks has good stuff to eat and drink. I couldn't care less about the poseur crap. I do take the other Ducati to the track. Your bike looks great.
