Hi,

I have a 23 V4s on the way, I was looking at getting a Black Termi slip on exhaust. I'm hesitant now because of the new gearing system, because each gear now has it's own map?
Is up map going to provide a map that will ba able to work with within the new gearing system?
Not sure if any this makes sense to anyone or if it is way off the mark, I'm not really interested in the new Akra systems for the new 23 model.

Thanks

Torque mapping for each gear, not air/fuel mapping for each gear. My understanding is that torque mapping is simply sets an available torque for each gear, as opposed to the amount requested. Meaning, if in 1st you give it a full twist you are requesting 100%, but the bike ECU may lessen it dependant on lean angle, speed, RPM, etc. I'm far from an expert here though.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to be an early adopter though.

Maybe @DeussenEngines, our resident tuning expert can give some insight.

Thanks for your reply

That makes sense! and I will contact Deussen engines. I will most likely stay stock stand for first 1000km, just to make sure I have all the available information.

Cheers for the advice

MY23 Streetfighter V4 is getting basically the same upgrades the Panigale received for MY22. Accordingd to Ducati advertisements part of that is a new user selectable engine mode called full that should not have any gear based restrictions anymore gear 2 to 6. How that really pans out will be seen soon, when the first bikes are being delivered. I should get one in the shop beginning of March if Ducati can live up to their advised delivery dates.

Great to hear, would be interested to hear how that goes. I don't get mine until April, hopefully anyway. I'm in Australia so we always seem to take abit longer than everywhere else.

Did you order it from Patterson or corse? Do you know Jason from JW motoparts he just received his SP streetfighter and would be a good person to talk to as he's doing a lot of modification. Where in Perth are you?

Ordered from corse. I haven't heard of JW sports but just seen he is in High Wycombe Perth. I am in Perth, will be chatting to him and hopefully Ducati as well.
Thanks mate for the message

Don't waste yor money on termignoni. Sc-Project is the best of the best

There is almost no performance difference between similar grade aftermarket pipes, just a couple of HP as if you need it since these bikes are already rockets. Just get one that you like the looks and sound then organise a Ducati tuner in Perth who is up to date, I went with the Akra and canned tune because its just easy and doesnt void the warranty. Also check with your dealer, any aftermarket tuning may mean you are on your own if it goes tits up which is pretty unlikely but expensive if it does.
