Looking for larger front rotors for my V2 for the track. Does anyone know if the OEM rotors from an 1199 will bolt right on? Is anyone running aftermarket 330mm rotors?
Thanks for your help.

Yes. All Pani wheels are the same offset. You'll need the caliper spacers also. A good change the 330's are well worth it. BTW you can buy spacers and run the belt drive superbike wheels also (which are way prettier IMHO).

The feel is different. You can't brake any faster I agree, that's tire dependent (and not flipping the bike over forwards). I way prefer the 330's, wish they made 330 T-drives. Higher initial torque with the same pad compounds.

Larger rotors will also affect steering with the increased gyroscopic mass.

I’d go with different pads and fluid before going to larger rotors. And if you’re overwhelming that, I’d move to Sicoms instead of bigger rotors. Also, what track are you going to where you need that much brake?

Ride in A group in northern Ca. Always looking to improve. I ride Thunderhill (both tracks) Sonoma, Laguna Seca. Feel the front brakes could be stronger and thought this might help. I have a 2021 Panigale V2. I noticed the OEM rotors on the 1199 look like they might be just as light even though they are 330mm because the carrier looks well designed and possibly lighter. Still investigating.

Sort of a side topic, but what is the thickness / width of the OEM 320mm V2 front rotors?

I installed Brembo T drive 330mm rotors, Stylema calipers and Rcs19 corsa corta master. For the money I don’t think it was the improvement I was hoping for.
First thing I tried was an Rcs 17 master with stock rotors and calipers. The brakes had a better initial bite and feel than my setup now. Should have just kept that setup but I thought bigger the better. Not so much honestly.
Changing just the stock master to Rcs17 will give a lot of improvements for far less money, is my point really.

I do like my brake setup.I’ve got 14k miles on my bike and several track days and the brakes are awesome.

I did 2-3 track days with stock pads and was ok. Noticed that they get chewed up pretty quickly. So I went with Z04 pads over the last 2 track days and what a great improvement. Better bite and will probably last 2x as long as the stock pads. And not too expensive. Probably best bang for your buck when it comes to TRACK day mods.

They are expensive and if your pace is good, they disappear as quick

Initial bite is a property if brake pads

You wasted lots of moneys for the result mate

The RCS is really a street master -- note the brake switch, etc. I'm not sure what your application is, but if it's just track, in my opinion, the MK2 19x18 is way, way better. Much better feel, cheaper, fits easier on the bars, and is more simple. I think $240 for the non-folding leaver. The 18 / 20 mm stroke changeable option on the RCS(s) is kind a gimmick, as I don't know anyone who switches it (or anyone who runs the 20mm stroke, at all, for that matter.). I guess they don't offer a 17mm bore version of the MK2, so if you're really loving that, stick with it. And the silly new Corta thing is even more gimmicky: "normal," "sport," "race?" Give me a break. You say you like your setup, which is great, so this is just some food for thought for maybe next time.

Stock rotors should be fine in most applications. I won't be changing mine -- at least not yet. If I do, I'll keep the 320mm. I'll have to because of the rules, but even if not, I doubt I'd need the 330mm. I think you have to really be a fckn demon to be outrunning some EBC / T-drive 320mms. The 330's are just heavier and there are some other drawbacks.

I'd say most people are over-braked. They think in terms of absolutely stopping power; when really, it's much more about feel. As a point, I ran stock R6 HH pads in my Twins Cup bike for most of last year. I did end up having some fade problems, and had to change them almost every weekend, but the feel was way better than those Z Brembos or the XX Vesrahs that most everyone else was running. Just too much initial bite. It's of course preference, to an extent, but as a rule, I'd say you're better off with better feel than sheer brute force. I now run the SBS dual carbon which is kind of the best for feel, fade and longevity, but that's my opinion.

MK2 19x18 is way, way better.

For what calipers? The conventional logic as of late is that the RCS 17 is the prime choice for riders looking to upgrade from OEM. I agree that the Corsa Corta is a bit of a gimmick.

Many have said the 19 would result in too stiff of a lever feel for the V4.

The stock Brembo calipers on the V2. Hmm, really? Interesting input. Maybe it's different for the V2. I just don't like the RCSs -- the 19, anyway. If they made an MK2 17mm, that'd be a better option. I ordered the MK2 already. I'll give it a go and see how it feels. Every other bike I've had it on, I've loved it. And that is what's on the HSBK V2 builds that they do for people. Maybe the 17 is just better for the M50 calipers (V4)? Maybe I'll get both and test..

If you look at the next level up on masters, e.g., the billet ones and beyond, they are all 19mm. I don't need those (and am not aloud to run one) but just some food for thought.

Just browsing OPP Racing's offerings the forged, billet and higher end billet (read: $290, $600 and $2,200) can be had in every size you'd want. The V4 uses the Brembo Stylema calipers. Google tells me the Stylema uses less fluid volume while being stiffer than the M50. Maybe that's why the typical advice is 17 master for the V4. Brembo has a rather confusing product segmentation and naming scheme for sure.

I don't like the spongy lever feel of the V4, but I'm sure it's not the primary thing that's slowing me down. Having more confidence from a better hand to braking force feel couldn't hurt though.
