Hi there Everyone, nice to meet you.
So my name is Ignacio and I've been working around bikes for a while as a hobby. Recently moved continent and left my beloved monster back home. but since I wanted to keep riding I bought myself a winter hobby.
Found a 748S 1998 that was in garage storage with 13k Km, yes it had been dropped, can tell due to marks on water pump cover and the fact that panels repainted, but overall the engine was not opened and was very good general conditions.
The bike had been sitting for 12 years (last road technical check from 2010), but the bike ran when new battery and a bit of fuel was inn,
So I took it for cheap as a winter project with the intention to do general maintenance this winte and get the bike ready for Riding season.
Took it all apart, and did the general thing that we would all do:
Checked clutch pack basket etc / and in the mist of things changed pressure plate since its part of the beauty of it.
Now the bike is all done, Only missing tires to change. (since they are 2008 haha) but when running im finding the bike is smoking a lot. / white smoke. From the smell if it, seems condensation but need your opinion.
Here is a video of todays run:
SoThings to take into account.
Will be running it (not driving, since salt wet cold and old tires not the best combo) and checking coolant levels and oil levels.
Your thoughts??
Any comment would be more thank helpful
Thanks guys!

Took it all apart, and did the general thing that we would all do:
- Oil change
- Oil Filter
- Air Filter
- Spark plugs
- Brake pads
- cam belts
- brake fluids
- clutch fluid
- flush coolant system and change coolant
Checked clutch pack basket etc / and in the mist of things changed pressure plate since its part of the beauty of it.

- Its too ....... humid here in luxembourg. I could see the sweat on the panels of the bike when left near the walls.
- While draining the oil I left it to drain with plug open for a day or so since I wanted to make sure I took everything out.
- When filled up and first start, noticed the oil window has some fog ( I assumed its humidity of air in crankcase)
- The bike has great compression, the oil that came out was black but no metal shavings nor nothing specific.
- Not is all the way winter, so air temp is also around 3C , I know not the best temp, but wanted to make the blood flow again in the bike
- I put it to running temp and the bike seems fine.
- I notice some drops on the tip of the exhaust after running it
Will be running it (not driving, since salt wet cold and old tires not the best combo) and checking coolant levels and oil levels.
