If dealer tried to run that drag I would tell them to pull it off and throw a patch inside

Patch is like duct tape - good to 300 mph : )

I took the rim&tire to a very reputable tire specialist I have known for many years today. He advised me to get a new tire, which I had to order as it was not available in store. He showed me two tires which he did a week ago - installed mushroom plugs - both started to leak after a day or two. His experience is that plugging a hypersport tire like the Rosso Corsa II is a gamble. These tires have very soft walls as well as tread areas. New tire will arrive Friday.

A new tire is always the best option but as we have said many times in the real world plugs are fine, and the RC 2 is not a soft tire, try Michelins for soft sidewalls. You can ride Supercorsa's down to a few PSI.

Mushroom plugs are garbage, of course they started leaking. You're taking advice from a guy who's livelihood is selling tires. Making plugs out to be unreliable makes him more money.

Dude played you like a piano.

That is your assumption... I did not buy the tire from him as you can clearly see in my previous post - I ordered form a Ducati dealer up North. In fact this guy has never done me in over the 40 year span I've known him - never charged me for swapping or balancing a tire... He gave me solid advice and hard proof so that I could make up my own mind. Plugs have a much better chance with road tires I think. Also take into account that we have extreme weather over here that does effect tires a lot ... 48C in the summer is very possible. Thanks for the video. Lastly, my insurance company has a clause about tires... (I only read the fine print now) - very interesting! Go read yours too.... Regards!
