So just a little something i have noticed the last couple of days heading to work on the bike.

I have a 25mi commute on the hwy so i usually put 1 earphone in and listen to Pandora or my TUNEIN app for the local radio morning show.
(I WANT to buy a sena but I NEED a comfort seat first)

so when i accelerate, lets call it briskly, the reception cuts in and out. Its very choppy. This also happens a bit when i am moving around the 80-90mph area...once i stabilize at 65-70 its fine but if i again accel it starts cutting in and out....

Now the phone is a iPhone 4s on sprint and its in the inside pocket of my ducati corse leather jacket....

Anyone else have thoughts on why it cuts in and out....

Are you accelerating to 88.8 mph when this happens? Do you notice light tracers forming around the bike and the flux capacitor starts, ummm, fluxing?

LOL.

i listen to music all the time. i use to use headphones now i use a sena never a problem. i have an iphone 4s on att. i dont stream music though i use a playlist maybe you are outrunning the net who knows.

great scott you might be onto something......let me just tell Huey lewis and the News....

thats what i was thinking but that doesnt seem quite right....

Something must be rubbing up against the cable for that to happen.

they are kinda crappy headphones but this is plausible....

i am intrigued by this.

No issues here with my iPhone other than excessive acceleration drowns out my earbuds but I'm only listening to music on my phone and not streaming.

It might be interference. I got a wireless camera to try as a rear view mirror, when the engine revs up it stopped working, never re-acquired the signal from the iPhone. On your way home drop the throttle and pull in the clutch (to maintain speed) and see if it still cuts out.

PS 88? Didn't you learn anything from yesterday? The pic is right before you talked to the guy behind you....

Its simple... Duh... Radio waves travel at 186,000mile a second.. You are obviously exceeding that speed...

What I would do is try another set of earbuds and then a buddy's/wife's phone just to eliminate each piece of equipment in the setup. If you still see the same problems using different buds/phone then the problem is likely something with the bike or interference. I used to carry an iPhone 4S in a backpack, jacket pocket or a drop leg bag paired to a Sena SMH10 and I never had this issue.

No kidding, you taillight assembly is longer than the whole bike!! :D

The come back should have been, "I ride a Ducati, I didn't want people to see me riding it slow, it would have upset them"

Are you in IT? That is so friggin' logical - flowchart it in Visio, and upload the PDF - eggo can then work through it.

tail tidy/comfort seat....the greater question...

i guess I will try some other headphones first...i have some cheap in-ear ones cause they stay in when i put the helmet on and i usually destroy headphones pretty quick....but my buddy has some BEATS in ear so i will try those first....

Try switching headphones, I had the same issue. I replaced the headphones and It's fine now.

I think I know exactly what you're talking about, because it happens when I wrap my helmet in tin foil. Does your pani have one of these installed?
