The clutch pressure plate is not supplied with a bearing. Do yourself a favor and order a bearing when you order the clutch cover.

You are supposed to press out the factory bearing and press it into the ducabike pressure plate.

The issue with this is the factory pressure plate is not designed to press out the bearing and re-use it. I say this because you do not have access to the outer bearing race. You must press from the inner bearing race. This puts the pressing force on the ball bearings and the grove they ride in. Maybe you get it out without damage, maybe you don't. For me, the bearing was completely smooth before I pressed it out and a bit "gritty" after pressing it out. I could definitely tell pressing it out caused the bearing to become notchy. I wouldn't accept that on a new bike.

Living in the middle of no where, a new bearing is taking 3 weeks to get here. I would not be happy if this was riding weather.

Long and short of it is the pressure plate should really come with a bearing. In absence of this, order and press a new bearing into it.

Wow ArcticWhite, you’re making some good mods. Post some pix of your progress I love the clear clutch upgrade!
They make a bumper for the bottom to protect the rest of it

Thanks. I figure make the bike what I want right off the start and then enjoy.

Another not so typical thing I am doing is the wunderkind clip ons. They can be easily raised for touring and moved down close to stock when going to the track. I'm anxious to see how well they work since there seems to be no reviews for them on the v4.

If its titanium I would not coat it. I'd take some fine sandpaper and clean it up, then buff it to a mild shine.

I just ordered/got one clear clutch covers, cheers for the heads up....

SO what bearing am i after exactly, pressure plate bearing/s?

Thanks again!

Bearing part number is: 70250601A There is no benefit to a clear clutch cover other than looks. The ducabike pressure plate might be a slight upgrade to the factory one. I haven't weighed both of them to see.
