Advisory : Rizoma NEXT FLUID Tanks - fluid leak

Question for CaliDuc. My "Next" reservoir brackets came with a length of tube each. In the attached picture the new tube is on the left, the stock one on the right. The new tube is slightly stiffer rubber but has a much smaller internal diameter. Are you saying this tube is the one that leaks as it is a much tighter fit onto the pipes on both the master cylinder and the reservoirs. I used the same size O/D fitting (plastic elbow pipes) as on the stock reservoirs.

Topolino, what I am saying is the stock tubes that come with the Rizoma tanks, weep brake fluid. I went with the 6mm Brembo clear tubing, looks very trick, however the Brembo tubes are more 'heat" resistant and less prone to cracking.

Bottom line : 6mm Brembo = much higher quality and look ace.

The hose that came with the Rizoma weeps or sweat through the tubing when they first came out. Im not sure what they come with now but Brembo uses Tygon Tubing which does not sweat or weep though the tubing like polyurethane or rubber.
 
How the HELL do you get the rubber part into the handlebars. Either my handlebars are smaller than everyone else's or Im overthinking something:confused:

The Rizoma brackets come with two different diameters of rubber blocks. Use the smaller diameter ones and you will be fine. You do need to tighten them up quite a lot to ensure the brackets don't vibrate loose.

:rolleyes: that makes a lot more sense than what I was trying. I was about 5 seconds from pulling out the grease when I decided to walk away. Thanks

Glad to be of help. Good luck getting the plastic delivery elbows in to the bottom of the reservoirs, as they are unbelievably tight !! I used a silicone spray lubricant which helped a lot. DO NOT be tempted to use grease ! You will need to apply a lot of pressure to get them in and I would recommend you push them in at an angle. Place the reservoirs face down on a thick soft cloth to avoid marking or damaging the anodised finish in any way, Once you get the lip halfway in you are almost there. You will need to use the smallest diameter fittings (compare them to the diameter of the delivery elbows moulded into the bottom of the OEM reservoirs if you are not sure), as the others are too big for the correct 6mm I/D tubing. Agree with the "Ace" look.:)

Replaced all my tubing with the clear Brembo line I got from Pro Italia. I purchased two x 12 inch lengths and it was ample for the job. I like the look.

The advantage is if you buy tanks that are not opaque and you cannot see the fluid level you can see it in the tube. I have recently purchased some Red CNC ones which I am waiting for. I was once supplied with some clear tubing from Gilles and it weeped fluid thru the tubing. Pretty poor from a company like Gilles that normally supplies pretty good quality.
