I am swapping my levers out and was wondering if I pull the stock ones out will there be a loss in brake fluid or do they just pop out with no issues. I noticed there is a rod that going into a dust cover and just want to make sure that is what it is. Reason I am asking is because I need to put ne fluid in after changing out my lines. I just don't want to double the work.

No loss in fluid at all. You can pull off the rubber seal that the rod is in. Sometimes they come off on their own when changing levers. All of the fluid is contained within the master cylinders (pumps).

Thank you for the quick reply. Guess it’s time to get my brakes pressured up.
