Anyone fitted one yet and any positive feedback?
My clutch hand is getting sore!
Thinking about the Oberon and apparently the 1199 one fits the 1299 :)

I have the Oberon on my 1199 and it helps. Smoother action and less hand fatigue. I feel it is worth the money$$.

I have found that I am not really using the clutch - only for getting rolling. The quickshifter works well enough not to seem to need it, even at lower speeds.

However, I do find myself wondering if manually using the clutch is more 'mechanically sympathetic '?

You are absolutely correct. The quickshifter is nice, but creates a lot of wear and tear. I am old school and enjoy using the clutch. Since I'm not banking on a racing paycheck to make a living, I am not concerned with saving 2/10ths of a second of shift time!!LOL.

Im not sure we have the data to prove how much wear and tear it causes at this point. I understand what you are saying but I doubt Ducati wanted to tear down motors after 5,000 miles of quickshifting.

Is the EVR unit the same for the 1299? Anyone know?

I was referring to the clutch, not the engine.

Gentlemen you both worry me. The 1199's clutch is feather light and I presume the 1299's clutch is the same.

I agree, it is very light compared the 1098 and 998/6 clutches. My 1299 clutch is very light, I just don't use the lever that much and the gearbox is silky smooth.. love it :D

It's a matter of perception.. I don't find it all that different from my BMW S1000RR, or my 2006 Kawasaki ZX-10R... about the same, but a bit more effort than our Triumph Daytona 675R.

Agreed, the clutch is light for me even with using 2 fingers to pull the clutch on my shorty CRG levers.

I find the clutch to be light. I'd also propose that any extra wear and tear internally from using the quickshifter (I don't think there really is) is offset by the decreased wear on the clutch from not using it. If you use the quickshifter all the time your clutch plates should last almost forever.

I personally feel as if the clutch becomes lighter with a shorter lever. Or maybe the lever is some how cammed differently making it feel that way. Either way.. clutch is really not bad

with the 1299, i can't see much reason for using the clutch other than start up and stoplights. up and down auto blipping awesomeness is easy!

The clutch is heavy after a hard 4-5 hour ride or track day but normal rides its fine. Use the quickshifter anyways, its the best factory unit I've ever used. Most are terrible at low revs but the Panigale unit it great. Can't wait to try the new 2015 Panigale quickshifter.
