Hey guys I'm in the market for a new set of rotor.

Any suggestion? Front and back. Just want to get as many suggestion as possible before making a purchase.

What's the application and what are you trying to achieve? There's lots of options out there. $1000 Brembo up to $3500 SICOM carbon rotors.

A little bit of track day. But mostly street. Prefer something better then the oem one.

Your not getting anywhere near the limits of the stock rotors which do an excellent job.

So what you really mean is you want something more flashy and cool looking in your own mind?

No my oem got messed up when I replaced me rim. But since I have to replace the rotors why not just spend some extra cash and get something better.

BrakeTech reply to my Nov 14,2016 inquiry

These are discontinued for the Panigale. They haven't done a production run on these in quite some time.

My email Nov 14, 2016:
Subject:The patented AXIS/CMC™ by BrakeTech USA
"I have 2017 Ducati Panigale 1299 S Anniversario. When will these rotors be available. Thank you, Alan"

BrakeTech reply Nov. 15, 2016:
"Thank you for the inquiry Alan
In short form mode, we're working on finalizing the production side of things with our aerospace associates. This has surely taken considerably longer than anticipated, but in reality check, they're a very large government contractor to the military complex, so operating in the small fish/big pond syndrome.

We ask your patience while this last phase is put in place. We'll surely let all interested parties know when they're finally coming through. Your Panigale will be at the front of the line when they do.
Thanks again,

Jeff Gehrs

We've been told they're "coming soon" for a year. Hopefully it will happen soon. If they're not here by Feb I'm going with SICOM, I'm tired of waiting.

The wait is actually going on 3 years. I offers to fund the project last time I was at Jeffs shop and was told that $$ was not the issue. I bought us a few sets with low miles and swapped the carriers. Def a nicer product than the other. On a different note, how in the heck do you ride a Panigale on the roads of Oahu? I can't find a road that doesn't look like it was part of a successful carpet bombardment.

lol I guess I just got used to it. Luckily I'll be moving back to mainland soon. I was thinking about braketech. But what do you guys think is better iron or stainless steel series?

Get some Galfers if you don't like stock.

They are about same price. Are galpher any better? Do you have recommendation for which model. There's all the wave and all that stuff.

Not better. Stock are great.

Me I would do stock, but he something different.

Being one who has used many various brands of rotors on different bikes (street & track), it is hard to fault, nearly impossible to say the stockers are not good. But if you want a different look get some 320mm brembo T drives.

I've used OEM, Galfer Waves, and Braking SK2 on the track. Didn't feel much difference.
That being said, I have galfer waves, braking sk2 waves, and brembo hpk full floaters for sale if you're interested.
