So I have found a way to get the pista GP, ill ask a favor of those who have one, what is your overall impression of the helmet? The helmet looks awesome just looking for those who have one to see if it is worth every cent. Thanks in advance

first impression was great. very good vertical view, good visor, no problem at higher speed. it is a lot louder than other helmets -- but what to expect from a pure race helmet.helmet-1.jpg
for that reason they put some earprotection plugs in the package.

Appreciate the input, most all
My helmets are race helmets so nothing new. Fell in love with the helmet and finally found a way to get one

If you dont want to wait or care for DOT US version, go ahead and get one.

Just be careful with pads that is held on by the plastic tab (zip ties like materials). When I pull one out to take the head band thing off, it broke. It was much strength put in so it was fairly weak. I think with the price and being the top model, I would of have thought it should've had better construction.

But as far as function, it is great. Vision is by far the best and super light.

Is the AGV Corsa any better? I am planning on getting one and I cannot decide if I should get the AGV Corsa or the Pista GP.

Any suggestions?

the corsa is, what my dealer told me, the same hemet as the pista, except the interior and the shell is a little bit heavier (maybe not carbon). it should be more quiet and as a advantage you can open and close the air-intakes more easy. on the pista the intakes are closed by a plug. to open them - pull them out, which you can not do while riding!
im just back from a little trip to my ducati dealer wearing the pista. the schuberth sr1 seems to be a little more stable at higher speed. not much but if youre over the windscreen you feel it. the vertical view of the pista is outstanding, which is a big advantage for me.

MY friend has one kevin. Duc1199 is his id on here. ask him i am sure he will tell you. I know he likes how it looks and feels but he hates the rossi signature on it. I had one in my hands last night and it is really nice. You know me though dude i cant buy anything rossi

AGV is the least favorite of the top end helmet lines for me. I don't have the pista or put it on, but I find the GP-tech from AGV to be the loudest of the other top end helmets like Arai Corsair V, Shoei, Schuberth SR-1, etc.. Enough that even with some of the very cool graphics that they have, that I stay away from. Hopefully the Pista will be better and they'll improve on that.

Pista is VERY LOUD. I have Arai and its very quite as expected.

And I do have Pista.

Mark- ya I've been back and forth on buying one, the exclusivity appeals to me but the helmet keep drawing me back to it

To everyone else thanks for the input, it really has helped, the noise doesn't bother me since I will wear earplugs when I wear it most of the time. Again thanks for all the input

Just remember, if you live in US, buying from above sites is European version so you won't be able to use it on tracks and some states it will be illegal.

How's the side to side view work out for you? It looks like it has a neck that would limit the range you can turn your head side to side.
