i know this has been out there for a while and i know some of this may have been answered but i used search and i got everything from exhaust to mwr airfilters so search is useless

1) i know akra you dont need any map at all but i also know rexxer is "official" map for akra. can you use the racing evo upmap with this system?

2) did the SL come with some kind of map on it since it came stock with an akra system?

3) akra has slips listed on their website would they work with the termi pipe? just curious i wouldnt do that anyway.

4) i know some of you have this already and got decent pricing i find EVERYBODY IS OUT OF STOCK and prices range greatly. Moto mummy still showing 3450 or so and free shipping. what are the odds that they come thru with that price?

1) Akra said they designed the system to work with stock fueling map, but as with any exhaust you can try for more power and/or better response with a remapping solution. There is NOT an "Official" reamapping solution for the Panigale according to Akra.
2) The SL came with the Up-Map key to unlock the performance map in the ECU, same as comes with the Termi systems.
3) The slip-ons will fit the stock headers, which means they would also fit the Termi headers if you have the "Y" pipe piece for the headers - which you would have if you bought a new set of Termi headers but you might not have if you bought a set of "take-off" headers from an R.
4) The slip-ons are actually in stock now, the full systems are still backordered as they have been for several months now. Lowest price on Akra exhausts are not shown online (Hint... Hint....) ;)

FYI, the SL Akra system does not use the stock three-bolt flange where the butterfly valve is. It has a clamping ring instead. So an SL slip-on for the other bikes would be a slightly different part #, I would think, and SL stock take-offs are not compatible with a S/R stock system.

Got my akra last night and got the rexxer flash from ducati Winchester which accommodates the o2 sensor removed and air bypass system removed will dyno in the morning to make sure it's good

The parts pic for the SL shows the slipons with the 3 bolt flange

Look, I paid my R off and am drooling for this exhaust. Mark and I were chatting and apparently he's beginning to drool himself

Lets see when mine actually shows up. I figure I'll take what I can get for my Full termi and hopefully i won't be more than about $1800 or so out of pocket for the akra.

THOSE. BLUE. PIPES. :D

I placed an order through Motomummy mid way through May and still waiting ... grrrrrrrrrrr

The road legal Akro cans on the SL appear to butt upto the Akro flapper valve pipework with just a lip on either end of both pipework and then a clamp is used to seal/hold them together.

Yes, the Akra on the SL is a full system, not a slip-on, so the "take-off" canisters will not work on any other Panigale.

That's wierd. I can tell you first hand the pic is wrong then, as I had visions of re-using the stock SL cans elsewhere. Also, the stock SL cans are fully welded up, no rivets anywhere. Any modifications/gutting will require you to learn to weld really thin titanium. Good luck...

My S/O ordered me the Akra system from motomummy on the 1st of May, we are still waiting for the exhaust to be shipped. they have had huge delays with there stock. From our last email contact with them, there supplier received stock this week and they should have an ETA by the end of the week regarding when our system will be sent. The next round of supply is due for the end of the month according to them.

Price still stands but it is a guessing game when you will actually receive the exhaust and tbh there customers services has been shocking, no information, they don't state on there website that the exhaust is out of stock but i guess at that price what do you expect

Last email was that some stock did come in, but was quickly exhausted by earlier orders. They cant tell me when the next shipment is nor can they tell me how far down the line i am. I never did have any patience:mad::mad::mad:

ohh wow! i better email them again!

They told me next batch should be end of this month, i know it isn't motomommy fault but .... me there customer services seriously suck balls!

Did they take the full price when you order? I am little annoyed that they have had 3.5k of my money since MAY and still can't give me a solid day

Guys, seriously, why are you ordering very expensive Ducati parts from this place? I hear nothing but bitching about it. You paid up front for a $3500 product that was backordered at the time with no anticipated availability date, and are giving this place an interest-free loan! Just request a refund from your order, wait until they're ACTUALLY off of backorder (which I will let you all know the day it comes off of backorder) and then order one and you'll have it in a few days. .... their "price", it's a $3500 exhaust system, does saving $45 make it worthwhile to endure B.S. customer service and pay 3 months in advance?? Just ask any other Ducati-competent Akra dealer to price-match against the mummy and you can probably get it for even a few dollars LESS than them and won't have to endure this heartache.... We will have them in stock as soon as they're available, we will NOT be advertising them on our web site for the general public at a stupid price that is $35 over dealer cost. However, we do price match for customers who ask, especially when it keeps it in the Ducati family, and we hope that once you've bought a $3500 exhaust system that we make $35 on that we at least have the chance to give you a good customer experience and you'll come back to buy other things from us in the future.
