Akra Slip-on to Full System Map Question

Hi guys - I am currently running a slip-on-only Akra w/ map for my '22 Panigale V2 and just purchased the header manifolds to upgrade to the full system. I was told by someone on a forum that since I purchased my headers from another retailer (WRS IT) other than my local service dealer who installed the slip-ons that I should have had my dealer "delete" my slip-on map PRIOR to giving my VIN# to the dealer I purchased the headers from for the new map associated to the headers to upload correctly once installed.

Basically, they're saying I should have told Ducati Miami to delete the Slip-on map prior to giving my VIN# to WRS for the manifolds.

Will my local Ducati service not be able to successfully install the headers with the full "Racing Evo" map now once the headers are installed with the slipons?

welcome to the rabbit hole. same issues on my 1199 that had slip on's with up map.

in the end, get a third part fuel controller, or handheld form SLR or Bren Tuning.....both of which are way better than the ...... up map my man.

Thanks - so what ended up happening? Will Ducati be able to install the map once they put the headers on? I plan to get a dyno tune eventually which should negate this concern.

youll have to get the dealer to flash your ECU back to stock condition. Second Dealer you got the full system from will have to install the upmap.
I do not believe second dealer can overwrite what you have currently...youll need to ask them

So Ducati Miami did the install of the Slip-on and Upmap. I bought the manifolds from WRS Italy who asked for my VIN# - They said it was attached to the purchase electronically. I should be good to go then right?

yes, i assume youll use miami to do the flashing then....you should be good sir.
