Has any one seen actual dyno sheets I am putting one or the other on shortly. I have seen akro dyno chart that look like they make a lot ,ore in mid range(I ride on the street this is more usefull). Anyone had both is akro better threw mid I like the sound have heard one on SL.

If you are referring to the new forward facing Termi, you are still going to have to wait at least a month before anyone gets one.

Mine is being installed on my R next week, but I won't be doing any dyno runs. Termi and upmap are being replaced by AKrapovic and Rapidbike Race.

That's because the akra requires a custom tune, and about grand extra for a tune boy and a tune, on top of the price of exhaust.

Full termi is plug and play, and im not noticing much of a midrange drop. But I do tend to ride this one on the pipe in higher rpms.

The performance between the two is going to be very small at best. put a tune boy on a full termi and you will see similar results.

Not according to Akrapovic.

I tend to agree with them on this one though, with the caveat that I'm not saying that custom tuning isn't required for absolute max gains.

I think there was a great deal of optimizing on the part of Akrapovic to make max use of the stock map.

You can see this when you compare the Tuneboy trim maps between the Termi and Akra, its obvious that the Termi maps dump a lot more fuel into things.

Example, on the Akrapovic map the largest fuel increase is 6.8%. The breakdown for 100% throttle for 3500, 4000, 4500 and 5000 RPM is 2.7%, 3.0%, 0.6% and 2.3%.

On the Termi full map, the largest fuel increase is 31.3%, At the above RPM points listed above, the changes are 0.0%, 31.3%, 21.5% and 12.4%.

Does anyone have Dynocharts to compare? I have the termi slip on and I am debating whether to add the header and have a full system or change to the full akrapovic

Not according to Akrapovic.

It would do you wise to research the topic, instead of trusting a salesman.

Akra posits what 7-8 HP increase, and were talking tune dependent at that.

Termi states 5% increase in power, that "could" translate to a hair more.

There are people on this board, that have swapped out there full termi for a Akra. These peoples subjective and possibly biased opinion, I actually trust more then company claims.

Because of the custom tune required on the Akra, any subtle difference or improvement, is now a subjective claim, as we are not comparing apples to apples.

Unless, those who have kept the full termi upmap key, and added the Akra.

NOW if someone has done this please step up and share your thoughts if you have ran over 6 months with each exhuast.

I have no tune, upmap, rapidbike, tuneboy, etc with my Akrapovic. Of course i don't really care about optimal performance with the addition of this system since the bike is plenty powerful all over the rpm range. I don't really see myself buyin an add on to tune the bike...at least no time soon. Sounds awesome and all that tuning stuff definitely is NOT needed, unless added performance is what you're after. The system doesn't do harm without a tune.

So many damn Akrapovic threads being commented on lately.

Either full system with Rapidbike will net a large hp increase and mid range torque and sound delicious. Can't go wrong with either, it's like splitting hairs.

I was just thinking something similar to this question yesterday while walking through all this f***ing snow. I was curious which exhaust makes better power and where. I wished that I had some connections to have exhausts brought together and compared back to back to back on the same dyno, same day, and maybe even have someone from an influental magazine of sorts report on it as I'm sure it's something everyone with a Panigale has wondered.

The exhausts I'm always asking about are the stock vs cored vs Termi vs Akra... All with proper tunes using whichever flavour (TB or RB, or whatever). I've always hated that no one ever gets comparisions like this put together in an independant environment. Well, at least we got to find out what tire is the best for 2015... Well sort of. :)

I've been looking through countless threads for both exhausts for the last couple of months. Tuneboys facebook shows dyno charts of both exhausts on the 1199 making basically the same power. I don't think I would be able to notice a difference between the two given my very low level of riding skill. I think the akra looks cooler but I'm not sure that justifies the extra $1k...omnia racing has a full termi with up map and filter included for around 2200...even though Id prefer the akra I'm not sure I'd be able to fork over another 800 for what would be unnoticeable gains on the street. Basically just buy what you really want and I'm sure you'd be happy.

But also according to Tuneboy, the full Akra adds significant increase of torque in midrange with almost the same max power (Red: 1199 with Full Termi and Tuneboy map; Blue: 1199 with full Akra and Tuneboy map):

if i have said it once i have said it 100000 times. this comes directly from akra. we are a performance company not a tuning company. our systems are designed and are numbers are generated from the STOCK system. they are made to work with your bike in STOCK form. tuning it may help but you dont have to do that.

fyi i have termi full system. a friend had the akra. akra looks better and sounds better. has a significant weight savings which is the main point on this.

i am with tank slapper on this most on here would only know what is on there due to sound not performance.
