I see that Alstare are the official sponsors and the team have signed up Carlos Checa and Ayrton Badovini for the Factory Ducati World Superbike next season!

Does this mean that the Panigale is going to be racing in Yellow/blue colours the same as they did when they sponsored Suzuki?

I hope not!!

The original bikes were sponsored by Corona, hence the Yellow a blue/ purple colour scheme, I personally think they looked great especially that 748RS they had, google it.

Cheers

Just found this! Answers my question...It doesn't look too bad!

Not sure if it's a true mock up or someones interpritation of how it may look

I can't WAIT to see how the 1199s performs on a more consistent basis. Seen video's here and there of a couple of races but next season should be fantastic!

Checa is a factory Ducati rider. He goes where the bike goes as long as he's under contract. It's why he went to Alstare and Giugliano stayed with Althea. Giugliano is still under contract with Althea. As for the color scheme, that really depends on who the primary sponsor will be. The mock-up above is not official.

I cant wait to see the Panigales battle it out in WSBK next year!!!

As racing improves the breed...hoping future developement on the Panigales used in WSBK will trickle down towards their streetbikes...they usually do.

Me too, however my feelings are mixed . the 1098/1198 is a fantastic bike and it won its debut wsbk race. Now that the all new Panigale will race in wsbk, I wonder how it will fare against the already tuned zx10r and skrr. should I get my hopes up on the next season's wsbk? will it be plagued by the front end feel issues experienced in the similarly chassis equiped gp11 bikes?

the wait is killing me.

BTT
What are the past accomplishments of the Alstare team? what is the teams reputation? Can they outdo althea?

Mr Bayliss did lots of testing in the development of the Panigale and I would suggest that based on this and given the impressive results in the World Superstock Championship with Eddi La Marra coming 2nd on the Panigale, I believe it will be there or there abouts from the start of next season!

Another Artists impression!! Notice that this one has lights on it as the superbikes will have to have them this year or at least stickers that resemble the lights!!

now that the Germans at taking over Ducati, first Corse, then R&D, I hope they go with cast aluminum frame like their GP bike. Ducati will win all the championships, but 12/13 Panigale will be the last of a true Ducati, opps I mean 1198.

I just hope that the 6kg weight penalty imposed last season and restricted air intakes does not kill its chances of success as it did last season!!

thought ill show you guys how the new termis exhaust look direct from troys bayliss bike

They have lots of work to do....
My friend used to be the tuner of the wskb alstare bikes (+/-15years) The engines of Corsers world championship, Haslams vice chamionship, etc... come off his hands.
So now he's working for the alstare ducati team, after a year BMW SBK team.

No room for development, all the cash is goiing to moto gp, so the superbike is this=
-just other intake cams.
-2 segment pistons
-tit con rods.
-gearbox.

that's it on the engine part.

chassis setup @ this moment sucks bigtime.

electronics is the same they used @alstare suzuki and they where begind @ that time.
So electronics package is 4 years old, no anti wheely etc....

thottle bodies same as streetbikes.

There's nothing on it what a real superbike schould be.
Despite of building a high rev engine (they needed more top power than the 1098R)
they still lack top speed.

Last week test @Jeres: 1st day 3sec slower then 1st Sykes. Last day gap down to 1sec.
Butt I don't know on what tires...

Normally around newyear the bikes schould be in Alleur Belgium Alstare workschop/headquarters.

About the exhuast, it's not the same termi line u buy @the shop (never was even in the past!)

I know what you mean about the exhausts. Last couple of years when i"ve seen Checas bike i"d swear he had Akra exhaust on with Termi decals. Not unusual that. Happens in other areas of motorsport. They have to keep sponsors happy.
