@Stw Good question

Price was never the issue, so ill debunk that now. Realistically, getting an 899, you should be at a point in life to go bigger.
EDIT: Will say, it opens more room for upgrades if you're under some sort of fun budget.

Fact is, coming back down to earth and humbly looking for what I really want|need.
Personally, I don't believe I needed the 171 horses. At my skill level, the 899 provides more than enough and the learning curve gets wider and wider.

Of course and arguably, the settings on an 1199 can be set to tame it. Still, not the same experience. On the Street and Track, not only is this bike manageable, but it is always FUN! She could use more miles on her now, but I can't think of a single one were i wasn't smiling.

Therefore, it suits my purposes. No other genuine reason, but because I can; I did the changes that I deemed Ducati fell short on. More importantly, changes that i felt were too sexy and awesome to not do. I would even do the TFT, just for the fun of it, but I am satisfied with what i've got.

That said, when i get bored, i'll contemplate the big brother. May be a while :)

Lol. It is shorter than the 1199's so no go, besides I already have BST's so I would rather wait for BST to make a carbon fibre singe sided swing arm.
This leave rotation I hope to install my cf hugger and heel guards, billet rear sets, billet pillion pegs and the PCV ignition module. I will publish the dyno results once done. :cool:

I have seen the 1098/1198 BST swing arm and would love to see one made for the 1199 or a DSSA for the 899. $4,500 is pretty steep, but that along with the BST 1199 wheels would make for an awesome conversion for the 899.

Now that is something that I would have to give some serious consideration.

Are you going to be bringing it out to MSRC this weekend? I'd be curious to see it in person.

Jordan Rhodes is THE MAN!!

Back when I used to live in OK AMS was my go to group for everything and hanging out with Jordan was a educational experience for sure!
Actually went out to one of their track days at Cresson and hung out with all of them, plus Larry Pegram as well. :eek:

Definitely a super idea to go single sided on the 899 and looks awesome!

Outstanding work right there Jordan! Sure miss ya brother! :D
