Puts helmet on mirror... 'asking for it' to fix the other one now ;P
Where you guys going?

Hahaha Wouldn't surprise me.

Wasn't a long one and not sure this will mean much to most of you. Left Sydney Friday arvo. Old Pacific Hwy, Booral, Wooton Way, Diamond Beach.
Saturday - Diamond Beach, Wauchope, Oxley Hwy, Walcha, Thunderbolts Way to Glouster, Diamond Beach.
Sunday - Diamond Beach, Booral, Sroud, SIngleton, Putty, Sydney.

About 1250km. Have 7 days / 2800km through the NSW and VIC Snowy Mountains at the beginning
of next month which will be unreal.

Off the main roads it’s pretty good and the Waze app works great here. All fixed and mobile speed cameras in NSW have to be signposted too. Always looking out though.

That sounds amazing. I hope you post some more photos!
It just started freezing here after weeks of rain. :confused:Got 1 ride in, over the last month.
I feel like a loaded spring.

European winters. I couldn't do it but I feel for you lol. The GF got some good footage from her RSV4 I think. Will share.

Nice to meet you from Japan.
As mentioned in the thread above, you can buy cheap stays made in China on eBay.
You can find instructions on how to disassemble the mirror in my BLOG, if you want to refer to it (sorry for the Japanese).

Thank you mate! Perfect 👍 Google translate worked a treat. I've actually ordered the Chinese stays from a local supplier here in Australia until I'm ready to order some DB mirrors. Your description will come in handy.

Ive got the db mirrors, a couple of things you need to be aware of: they are solid metal which means they won't break, but they will break fairing bracket. Another words for all the issues with the stock mirrors they act like a fuse.

No mirrors will give you good rearview vision and the DB ones are no exception, the main thing they offer is a smaller form factor and better looks. TBH, if I hadn't already purchased them, knowing what I know now I wouldn't bother.

Good to know. Maybe I'll just stick to the stockies, deal with not being able to lane filter and avoid gates

You can still filter no probs, they are not much wider if at all than elbows/knees. So many mirror threads trying to improve on stock but the short version is that pretty much all of them suck and look wrong to varying degrees. Bar ends mirrors, folding aero mirrors etc all suffer the same shortcomings so if you are mainly riding your bike on the road you can do a lot worse than the stockers. Once youve got a few spare arms you'll be golden. TBH the best Panigale mirrors were the 1199 folders.

Of course, it's just the car mirrors that always seem to be perfectly opposite each other and at the same height as the bike mirrors. Just have to work harder to catch up to mates with foldable mirrors lol. I'll order a few sets of the spare arms and be done with it. Maybe I should make it a mission to design and manufacture proper folding pani mirrors.

Good move, the money you save on the DB race mirrors will get you a set of tires which are much more fun. Years ago there was a guy who made some alloy bases for the 1199 mirrors to fit the 1299, so it's doable. Basically with mirrors you have two options, short and chicken wing your arm to see through the gap, or wide which is a hassle for splitting, parking etc. The problem is the sports riding position and even the OEM mirrors are not wide enough to do a really good job.

Don’t even talk about tyres lol. This bike eats tyres especially on B roads and Pirellis are f**king expensive these days. Just made it home after this trip.
