Anyone else enjoying the OEM seat heater right now?

Yeah if only it was adjustable :). I'm just glad I never rode it before they added the extra heat shields.

I feel the same way...wait till it gets 100+, I'm sure we wont be in the same mood.

Just got back from riding all day. was perfect tradeoff for 61 degree weather.

Only time I felt it creep higher than pleasant was when I had to sit in stop and go traffic outside of the God dammed mall with the sheeple in their cages making their weak minded immediately necessary pilgrimage to the mall the day after they received gifts to return them.

I actually sat there so long I was watching it rise to 216 then drop to 209, then rise to 216 then drop to 209"¦rinse and repeat.

Other than that, still good riding weather here, with OEM heater.

NOLA

Still ride my 2012 year round without the heat shields. Can't bring myself to cover the engine in black plastic. I don't think the heat is that bad, only a problem in slow moving traffic when it gets above 30C. As soon as you hit 40mph the heat disappears.

Remember Hate, and how much I hate all you guys that get to ride all year round :D

It does rain here a lot though. Ruins a lot of good rides :( On the bright side most of us ride in Tshirts so everyone gets a free wet-tshirt contest wherever we go.

LOL..."OEM heater" ...aahaha that cracked me up!.
Nice is winter...bad in summer! :?

It's been low 40s, high 30s (Fahrenheit) lately. This OEM heater is a godsend. Rode her into work Christmas day and I only wished that I had some warmer gloves - everything else was roasty toasty!

Hi, just got me a 2012 panigale S ABS with only 2616km on it. Got it for a nice price, have been reading about the heat shields, so it looks i still can pick them up for free? Bike is under warrenty till 05/14. I do have questions regarding the looks. Specifically the engine covers, the pipe cover looks doable.

Took a 20 mile ride yesterday with the stock seat in 30f temps.

Since backing it with heat tape a month or so ago, the stock seat is noticeably cooler and I like the seat height better than the DP comfort seat.

I have the old style manifold heat shield which has never bothered me (and I rode in a lot of +90f temps this past summer).

Ride was over to an off-road shop to use their lift table to put on a 41t rear quick-change sprocket setup. Had my "winter" leathers on (i.e. non-perfed) along with thermal underwear.

Had a nice time -especially since I hadn't been on it since before thanksgiving.

I rode my bike in the desert near me when it was 120F and it was no problem. I think the people who feel the heat the most are those wearing just jeans or pants. I don't feel anything through my leathers or textiles even when sitting in traffic forever.
