its like $1000, and they will put any custom image on it.

No, it $3999. If you order it from Ducati you can get a custom logo on the back, from Arai it doesnt have the red stripe and no custom logo, for the same price.

I stumbled across this helmet arai helmet ducati design RX-7 GP | eBay and I'm interested in buying one but can't seem to find a resource in the US? Can anyone point me in the proper direction?

I bought this same helmet in April. I seem to remember AMS Ducati Dallas having some left last time I was there. You could give them a shout.

Yeah I wish it was $1000. It's 3999 and in very limited supply. As Jerel said - the one from Arai is plain carbon. Ducati has the Arai Corse sticker and a red stripe on it. I think its customizable for like $60 but most dealers probably don't even bother with the $60 for the custom engraving. . . Lead time of 2 months I believe but definitely the most "desirable" Ducati helmet out there :)

I can get the Arai Carbon (plain) for $3300 + shipping. They are made to order. It takes an Arai Master Craftsman one full day to make one of these. They make 10 corse V in the same amount of time. You could do your own graphics over & over because this would be a life long purchase.

True that!

Well, I like the old model better but that's just too bad apparently. Can you PM me a price on either of these models? From the pics I think I like the Tricolore better but it's really hard to tell without seeing the top and back.

Thanks for all your help, I really do appreciate it!

Not just because I own one, but I do agree the older model has a bit more class and snap. What size are you looking for man? I may be able to find one if I put my feelers out. I take it you have looked everywhere already?

Even as a Tri owner I dont care for the new version.

I wear a large in Arai. I've been able to find some but nothing in my size. XX large and small seem to be all that's out there.

Ok man. Im checking for ya. My dealer had a few left and will get back to me Tue. Will PM ya if I hit jackpot. I think about selling mine once in awhile, worn about 3 times, but am always on the fence! lol

I really appreciate the leg work sir, thanks!! Just go ahead and sell me yours so we can put this to bed?! :D

I have the Arai RX7-GP C AND IT COST ME £2,200.00 I ordered it in April an dit was at the dealers for the end of May where it stayed until I picked it up from the dealer in July at Brands Hatch. I adore this helmet with as much passion as I adore my Tricolore. I am hoping this Tuesday will give me a window of weather that will allow me to do the pick up and finally get hands on with a drive back of over 350 miles! Happy days are ahead brothers :)

This is not really true as the manufacturers all recommend replacing helmets every three years or so because the safety packing degrades with age, not to mention the odd drops.

If I were going to spend crazy money it'd be for carbon wheels, not a lid that won't protect me any better than a good conventional helmet.

My local Duc dealer has one. I just saw it last week. I have to drop my bike off tomorrow, so I'll let you know what size it is. You can order through them then directly. They are a good bunch of guys.

Trident- Im out in Colorado training with my new Service Dog. Wait until I get home and pull it outta the nice felt lined helmet bag and gaze at it some more. My dealer has not gotten back to me yet either, and he had lots of them a few months ago. Dont worry bro- If ya dont end up getting it I have some other deeeeep hooks for ya on other high end helmets ok? Deep breath bro.

And if that screen name signifies something out of Coronado let me know via PM! Errr?

It's actually a 5 yr mark on this. Most track day organizations and obviously race clubs will not let you on track with a helmet past the 5 yr point. It's in all their rulebooks too.
