Anyone ride daily in 90-100F and traffic?

All I know is when i'm cold I put longjohns on. So putting on undergarments when one is already hot? I was thinking this morning that somewhere I have a cool vest. Maybe I can cut it up and make some shorts.

The pants which were pictured were from Alpinestars F1 line of clothing. The primary need there being flame resistance in the event of a crash. I have an undersuit I wear with my leather suit but its not at all like thermal underwear. It just serves as a wicking layer and makes getting in and out of the suit easier.

Anyone try the samco radiator hoses, I've seen it claims a drop in operation Temps? Doubt it would help this issue but in the topic of running cooler does anyone have first hand experience with them?

Is 9F degrees significant though? Temperature of what, the coolant? I don't know if that would matter to the rider.

No doubt they are higher quality than the OEM stuff. If I ever had my airbox off I'd be replacing them for sure with Samco, but not because of a 9F reduction claim.

Yes used them on 1299 from oem hose. Zero change. They full of .....

But they are better made than the six year old hoses on the 1299 we’re already coming apart

I think they probably would’ve started leaking in another couple of years.

But the Samco hoses I installed were used on my 2012 1199 and they looked great, and worked great still. 21yr old hose dude. I would definitely recommend them just based on their longevity and quality alone.

Somewhere I saw some V4 hoses that had heatsinks around them. I wonder if these would actually help seems like BS. Getting air moving under the seat helps the most (as long as you're moving).

someone needs to make an airconditioned helmet... i wear leathers all the time so the heat from the rear heads doesnt bother me. airconditioned leathers would be nice too... i mean whats the hump for

Ok guys… I hate to break it out, honestly!

The Panigale isn’t a street bike! I know… who would of thought?

Yup… I know, it’s a good looking bike and people want to be seen on one (personally I think the R1 looks better but anyway) but other than that and trying to make some sort of statement why are you commuting on a street legal superbike?

I understand… sport bikes got me interested in the motorcycling world but I quickly learned that there’s actually much better ways to enjoy this two wheeled sport on a daily basis, especially if I was commuting daily.

It’s called the Ducati Scrambler (or similar).

If I didn’t have so much invested in my SF I’d either be on a Scrambler, Multistrada or a GS.

Anyway, I’m just thinking out loud I guess. Seriously though, heat or any other comfort related aspect shouldn’t really be a topic of discussion when talking about a superbike.

I don’t get it, but I don’t get the 950 Supersport either so what do I know 🤷‍♂️ maybe that’s your kinda thing?

im trying to take this thread in a new direction.... doesnt matter what you're riding in 90+ degrees 40%+ humidity... it's the gear thats uncomfortable not the bike.

Of course… I can’t argue with that but I’ll also say that wearing an open face helmet on a superbike does look off, shorts and a t-shirt on the same is plainly squid.

My point is that the Panigale is just not a two wheeled Yaris equivalent… I mean this thread is basically asking why my GT3RS isn’t riding like my Cadillac.

Sorry I sound like I’m ranting but I really don’t get the idea of riding a superbike on the street unless it’s on a weekend or occasional.

Feel free to disregard my posts.

Do you have first hand experience wearing those?

Yes, they reduced felt heat, but not more than 20%.
That may be enough for some, but not for me, so my Panigale has been relegated to a dedicated track bike, and a new SF V4S has taken its place on the streets.
Fortunately, it doesn't generate any real noticeable/uncomfortable heat.

All litrebikes that make 200+ are hot. Get used to it

This might be true but the panigale is standout hot among the others. As one data point, my turbo gsxr 1000 that made 300 whp was nowhere near as hot as the pv4. After riding the panigale, you wouldn’t even notice heat on the gsxr.

Right, I think we all understand these are race bikes but that's no reason not to explore ways to reduce the heat.

I appreciate the ideas being shared by group members.

is it a standout? feel like the v configuration is why you feel it more.

I'd be curious to know what the rsv4 1100 feels like.

never mind... quick google finds the corresponding aprilia thread
