What a total _anker!! If your riding around London, buy a comuter! Can't find the rear brake? I've never used one in 15 years of track riding and 3 years racing! Who put this crap on here?

That's not the half of it, he misspelled "themselves"! :)

Great review on brakes at pitlane speeds.
Talks on power delivery without having passed 6500 revs..
smooth suspension at 45 mph... yep... that's the way to go...

to everyone their moment of glory... i fear he just had his... :)

shoot this guy.

unbelievable....

he should be testing scooters. city traffic. i am speechless.

I've got the book to the bike, it claims very superior aspects of the bike against competitors. I don't doubt those claims but those performance claims I will never be able to validate myself anytime soon. Given this fact that its a racing machine, I don't expect it to be easy on my ass or easy to tour with in the city streets. It's a racing bike and when I chose the Panigale, I was looking forward to dealing with driving this racing beast as an all around street bike. When the Panigale wins those races, all these little daily riding challenges won't matter, because its a racing bike of the highest race performance potential. Yes I have some burns on my knees after rides (my fault for not wearing leather pants), and my ass gets warm from the exhaust, but I have the updated heat shield so it just fine even in 95F ambient city riding. And now I have the race seat which gives a little more insulation from the heat, about 1/2 inch more. So there you have it, the Panigale S ABS was my dream bike and it has not disappointed one bit....now where's my torque wrench and locktite??

Well, I spent more time watching than listening and that's a strange city or at least the road marking are, and the people dressed like rabbits.

When I did start listening to his review, I suppose he's right about the heat but I honestly didn't think that a person speaking in a British accent could sound so stupid.

You should listen to me after a night out on Stella!

That heat coming from the pipe is a muthafu*ka!!!! burnt up the dealer plastic piece on my license plate (fender eliminator kit sits right at the heat shield):p... But thats a easy fix I'm just going to heat wrap my Full termo set when they go on. Changed that uncomfortable seat too.

Solution? How about shooting him? Or a better idea to remove the head on the pani and have that piston take care of him :)

Here is my .2 cents ..

First off, lets remember that everyone is entitled to their opinion and as such what gives that opinion more credence is when it is based more so on fact and assertion.

Lets take his video, naturally he is riding what appears to be a base 1199 around the city of London .. urrm, we do not know what mods he has on (seat, etc), secondly one could equally provide a video of going around Leguna Seca on a moped/scooter and complain about poor handling, etc .. the point is context and herein the lack of it.

I have had the 1199 since July 2012 and as we all factually know there is an obvious heat issue. However, the 1199 is a pure race bike adapted to the road with Ducati's best efforts.

Personally, mods can be done to the bike to address some of the heat, in my own case, sports seat, Ceramic coating of the entire exhaust, a titanium exhaust. Adopting an adaptive riding style helps, avoiding traffic jams, etc. And I imagine that the fugly heating mods may indeed help.

Bottom line, the 1199 is an absolutely awesome machine and we now know that heat management was a design compromise. I can live with that.

If I had the opportunity all over again, I would still purchase the 1199 and I will still mod it in the style that I have.

Ducati delivered an awesome bike and I very thankful to them for doing so.

Reference - I live in California.

+1 100% spot on!!!!!!!
