morning guys and gals, so im wanting to put a new exhaust on the V4 and saw the AR has a couple options. not wanting to spend the 5k+ for a full Akrapovič
i wanted to see if anyone has tried the AR? looks nice me and the sound is pretty nice also. does the de-cat version need up map or tune? what are peoples thoughts on this exhaust from AR?

thanks

AR is the equivalent of California wildfires on here.

interesting answers are to be expected.

with a new exhaust (and/or new air filter) you normally always need a new engine map.
AR has their own fuelling tuning device (which is not compatible with V4, yet), but it will never be the same as the akra's or the original exhaust.

Aftermarket tuning-devices cannot program a certain area (lower than 6000 RPM and gas position between 0%-25%), because it is blocked by ducati.
So, for street use, it is better to keep with the originals or the akra's.

Rapidbike specifically beats this problem for the twins, Once, they figure it out for a four, it'll probably be one of the more popular piggybacks.

Source? Not trying to bash or anything but I honestly didn't know this was a fact. I've been waiting for brentuning to finish up their product and I hope they address this issue.

i have sc on my hp4 granted its just the can as i already had the link pipe and the akra can. it sounds amazing. my buddy had (bike stolen) a full sc on his s1000rr and loved it great work by them.

you dont "need" anything for after mkt exhaust. they are made to work with the stock maping (thats what akra told me before they were official ducati) however it is recommended for the best performance to get the bike tuned.
