I could not stand the looks of the factory mirrors, I also could not see very well without moving my shoulders and arm out of the view each time.

I purchased these mirrors for the fact that they can go together 2 different ways and the lines are clean without any names engraved into them.

Went on a 190 mile ride a few days ago. The view is always right there with a quick glance.

They can be set up with the mirror arm coming out of the end or out the side. I set them up this way because it keeps them in as tight as possible.

I picked them up at a local Cycle Gear. They cost just under $50.00 for 2 of them. They come in Black or Silver anodized.

I'm glad you opted to get rid of the ugly insect antennas.
These are a tad more pricey but give an increased field of view:

When I had my "S" I had the CRG Arrow mirrors on it and they were great. The OEM mirrors and rizoma replacements are still ugly IMO. Any antler just doesn't sit well with me. I figure, I have to turn my head at least once or twice anyway to confirm nobody is there so I scrapped using mirrors entirely. Now I must turn my head. I also couldn't take the extended width as I always find myself stuck in tight spots.

In the end, the bar ends are very beautiful and 10,000x better than the OEM ones.

Sorry, this is a bit off topic but how did you remove the original mirrors? I mean, I cannot remove the screws looks like they are stuck in there and if I apply too much force the Allen key will break or it will round off the holes - any suggestions?

I've been looking into going this direction lately as well. I typically don't mind the look of the OEM mirrors until I see the bike photographed. I feel the same way about the upgraded factory heat shield.

For anyone who is interested, these appear to be the item referenced by the OP: SpeedMetal - Micro Bar End Mirror

Regardless of type of mirrors, turn your head if you value your life...I do and it is still working :D

Try using some penetrating oil on it left overnight. Mine came right out but I have had them off several times already.

I took mine off since the originals were useless. They shaked like crazy and one of them would fold in at speeds over 90mph. I'm mirrorless now. Haven't been stopped for it yet.

If I decide to change the ones on the bike, I will go with the same setup that I have on my HD48. Rizoma Spy-R 60. Small enough that they tend to disappear but great view/quality.

Apologies in advanced for the non-Ducati photo :)

Many different ways to set them up...

I really like my crg arrow mirrors. Perfect clarity, no vibration. Good field of view(slightly convex). I can't see ever returning to the shaky oem "arm view" mirrors.

Agree the CRG arrows are the best mirrors i have ever owned and are vibration free and the visibility is fantastic, I have had some Rizoma bar end mirrors in the past and they are incomparable.

I've been running without mirrors, but I'm going to get 1 bar end type
LH just so I can check what & who is behind me, still I always rely on turning around

Bike width clearance goes down the crapper. For non splitting areas I guess it doesn't really matter. They look hideous coming off the bars, JMO. Bar ends come off with a breaker bar and the right sized bit, which incidentally is a star drive of sorts found in GM performance parts.

Looks good , but what about front turn signals, did you eliminate them.

I eliminated the front turns for right now. I am going to open the headlight up and install LED turns inside the headlight.

I will also convert the back to the integrated tail light.

this may be a happy medium right here:

or the lane splitters ...

The way I have the mirrors set up they don't add but a few inches to the width of the bike. I split lanes and have not even come close to these.

12mm Hex Head Driver takes the factory bar ends off no problem. Mine were slightly more then hand tight.

I wanted something with clean lines and no names. These had the best lines (no exposed adjusters), and they are super simple in design.

looks functional enough but would interfere with grip position choices. To have the mirror follow the steering angle...something about that is funny to me, YMMV. I see folks adjusting their steering angle to see the rear view properly, its a funny sight as you see them swerve their bike when approaching intersections or slowing or prepping for lane change.
