Base electronics with R motor

I tried looking but couldnt find anything before asking here.I have a 2012 base but purchased a new 2016/17 R motor,with no electronics.I know theres a big difference but i wanted to know can i use base electronics on this motor?

Turbolag thank u brother i appriciate the info,im lost when it comes down to this.Lucky im not doing it i have the bike @ the builder he hasnt touched it yet but im sure it will get sorted out.Just wasnt exactly sure if there was something inparticular to look out for or if anybody has done something similar.Def gonna dicuss woolich racing as an option.
