I wonder if they forgot to do the first service and it burned up all the oil? 
Or rode a 3-mile long wheelie taking pictures for the cover of a magazine and starved the crank of oil........

Yes read that issue of BIKE magazine. Scared me...though it was a base model...it still should have not happened!!! Wonder what caused it?Something punched a hole out through the lower crankcase. Photo shows 1199 panigale on top of a pool of oil...
Darn...I hope its an Isolated case!
