Hello,

I took my bike out today for the final ride of the year to be greated with all sorts of electrical problems. The bikes rear indicators are flashing along with the brake lights, the bbs error showed on the dash, the bikes speed showed three dashes, the gear indicator a dash, the quick shifter stopped working and the dtc light came on intermittently with the bike running rough as hell. Has anyone experienced these issues? Sorry to go on but the right indicator won't work unless I first indicate left then immediately right wtf! The bike is currently with the dealers who have very kindly loaned me a new mts 1200s until mine is fixed, my only concern is they seemed totally dumb struck with the issues I'm having. Sorry for the long post but I'd like to know if anyone else has experience of this issue.

Have had some of those symptoms before, and followed posts of others. One common thread is moisture in connectors on the CAN bus, peeps have dried them with hair driers and kept them dry and resolved issues. In my case I let the battery run right down with the key on and the BBS lost its memory of the gear selector position thus the gear indicator and DTS would not work and starting required the clutch in.
When that's the case it requires a dealer only reprogram on the DDS.
In any case the dealer is the right place for you bike right now....

Yes probably the white connector plug under the rear of the tank that goes to rear light/indicators and the diagnostic plug, it gets corrosion really easy even after low miles and not being out in the rain etc, brings up all sorts of errors

BBS error is the Black Box in your rear sub frame . Pull the seat off and check the connection .
