My 14R came w 24.5° rake and cups that can each be installed in 2 different positions. The open spot was towards left side of bike top n bottom. Can they be installed in different positions and what would that do to the geometry?

Thx, Don

PS - Thx. Better than NEWBIE

Hey Larry sup man so yeah different cups available from the factory and throws the geometry all off. If your running the billet top/bottom triple clamps (CnC Racing or IMA) you can achieve same change with offset.

I dont know why CNC racing designed theirs the way they did. From my understanding you can go either +4 or -4. Nothing in between.

DucatiModified?

They said I was too OEM

Or too NEW

Something like that : )

Oh wait yeah, Kevin is prolly right, too retarded...

Still don’t know which cups to order : )

I am not gonna order them until I fully understand how it all works

I got the adjustable trees but don’t know for instance how the handling would differ with the 14R center drilled pucks and the +4mm bushing vs. the 2015up offset pucks (5 to the front) and a -1mm bushing

Forks would end up in the same location either way so I think the trail and rake would be the same with either of THOSE set ups but the offset would be different. I have no idea how the two would handle differently tho

Until a few minutes ago I thought ‘rake’ was machined into the frame : )
