Best Quiet helmet

I can confirm the review of the Sena speakers. I run Pandora on my phone and bluetooth it to the Sena. I can hear it at speeds above 50-60, but it falls short of what it should be.

Yah, I wish the Sena app could pass through the AirPods Pro, then don’t have to bother with those speakers.

The helmet clamp has a stereo speaker wire port. For longer rides, I might consider just running it straight to the Sena and see how that goes. 🤷‍♂️

I have installed Sena 50R in my HJC RPHA 11 carbon. I can’t hear a damn thing after 40mph and wind noise is crazy. I am sure the position of our leaning head on this bike might need a different type of helmet to control the wind noise? Any suggestions for quietest helmet with Sena 50 and AirPods Pro for noise cancelling? So I can have Sena comm, music through AirPods Pro along with extra noise control & Escort redline 360c radar detector alerts through the Sena or AirPods Pro.

Hjc rpha 70 carbon with no external boxes mounted. Very quiet. Get some iems with a custom ear mould.use a bluetooth dac.

I have a Shoei X-14 and a Cardo unit with the standard speakers. I always wear foam earplugs and balaclava (either a summer or winter one), and sometimes a neck tube over the balaclava (helps a lot with turbulent noise). Volume is on max. I At 100 mph I can still listen to my audiobooks. Similar setup and similar results with my Arai Defiant, and with my Schuberth C3 Pro.

On a slight tangent here, but I lost enough weight that my AGV PISTA was wobbling around in my head at track a bit, had to I order a new helmet, and decided to go with the Shark Race-R Pro GP

All the reviews says it’s the quietest track oriented helmet. Arguably the most stable at speed too.

Has a lot of neck shroud coverage, and it a very smooth design so probably is very quiet.

Will let you know when it arrives

My Race R Pro Carbon (non GP version) is incredibly quiet, fairly light, venting works great and of generally excellent quality. I've had Arai, Shoei, etc. and this has been my favorite helmet.

Quick release on the shield is a bit fiddly but I don't take my dark shield off ever as I don't ride at night generally.

And AirPods fit in the ear pockets nicely.

However...if I'm going to be out for a while, I've adopted this for bluetooth connectivity. Doesn't provide the group talk thing like Sena or Cardo but I don't do group rides really and the multi level ANC is awesome. Great product if you just want Siri, Music, nav audio, or to be able to take phone calls.

I really like mine. The Shark is my new favorite for track. It’s light, tight, good optics, and of all the track helmets I’ve tried it’s the quietest, and most importantly the most stable at speed.

The helmet completely disappears when on track, which is what you want.

The reviews talk about the dark visor being too dark, but it comes with two visors, the second is clear.

I personally don’t think the dark visor is too dark, but then again my eyes tend to be sensitive to very bright sunlight.

My father-in-law said his loss of hearing is frustrating to say the least. He looks around the table but can't hear or join in on the conversations. Personally, I think of ear protection first, music and convo are simply mod-cons. I can't get on any motorcycle without foam inserts. CVS in the USA sells the pink, Ultra Soft 32 decibals, or the blue Extreme Protection 33 decibals. I ride for many hours at a time so, pink for me. I have my Sena / Spotify and Android CRANKED as loud as it goes, and like others have noted, the sound is greatly reduced at higher speeds, but my hearing remains intact. Sure, I say what? alot on the Sena, but, oh well. I can still hear "police reported ahead" from Waze though. I've put my helmet on without earplugs and the volume set as loud as it goes, and its astonishing how loud it is, yet that is the volume I listen to it at all times. Wind noise alone is enough to damage your ears. I've never considered a helmet for wind noise, because plugs have that covered. I also ride with an HJC modular. Just my .02 cents.

Well that’s certainly a good point. Who cares how quiet a helmet is if you should be riding with earplugs anyway. Or in my case ANC buds.

I can hear the damn wind through my earplugs on the V4. Real annoying. I have the vents blocked on my AGVs. Maybe I need to try the shark

When you place your palm under your chin and close the bottom opening it as much as you can, does it reduce the noise? I wear a bunched up neck tube to block much of the wind entering from the bottom.
