I think it will be a fair few races before we see a Panigale at the sharp end but fingers crossed they manage it as I can't see much success for Ducati in MotoGP this year given that the GP13 hasnt had any development.

Ugghh, seriously, this guy: motogp.com · Gobmeier: "No revolution, but evolution"

Here's my paraphrasing:

"Hey, I know our bike sucked balls the last few years, but here's what I'm gonna do: we're gonna take what we got.....and go with it.......ehh?...ehh?....yay motorcycles!"

Ahh....guys the thread is about the Panigale in World Superbike, not the GP13 in MotoGp. Personally, I think Checa will get a win this year but not the title. I'm betting it'll finish 2nd or 3rd in the title race.

Checa will be the champion every Ducati sbk model has won the championship the panigale is going to kick ... go Ducati !!!

I'm going to bet first place in the WSBK. With the additional benefits of the adjustable swing arm, higher revving engine along with the additional limited mods they will do to the engine, the bike will be amazing on the track. I think it will give the riders more stability in lean angles and a little bit more speed on the top end on the straights. This will relate to giving the riders more confidence to go really fast around any track. The HP4 due to the weight reduction will give it a good run. After all 2012 superstock was just a test bed for Ducati to get good feedback for the RS in 2013. The numbers on this bike is outstanding better than any other but it will come down to what the riders feel and skillz.

Well said X

let's see what the underdog max neunkirchner will do...

I can't believe everyone is voting for second you guys are not true ducati fans
Ha ha ha! It has nothing to do with being a true Ducati fan. The Panigale is an all NEW bike; not an evolution of a previously successful package i.e. the 999. Therefore, it's reasonable to believe there are going to be some growing pains. Ask Skyes about growing pains and the melting of his rear tire all year long. ;)

It would be nice to see the panigale on top. but for me as long as Checa and his team mate is on the top 5 on WSBK. I will be very happy with it. Can't wait for this season WSBK

Absolutely love my bike, best vehicular experience ever! Plus I won't allow anyone to question my admiration for the firm and it's product

But for a twin to win in WSBK in 2013 is wishful thinking. Brand new concept with an engine that's down on power; my heart's with them, but my money......they'll have to wait a while

Yea, don't mention growing pains to Boeing! Making me wonder when my Shorai is going to catch fire...

I believe Checa was the fastest rider last year but to many crashes ruined his chances for the championship. Did he let the pressure to repeat get to him? It will be interesting to see if he can adapt to a whole new bike and do well. I do wish him the best of luck this year and hope he wins.

electronics

it will depend on how fast they get this in order.. in itself, the bike should have it all.

the main different thing is that in 2013, 5 brands are up there..

KAWA, HONDA,BMW, Aprilia, Ducati... now that is some competition..
more will depend on not missing races through injury and making top 5 on a permanent basis..
