Lol you guys are funny. It's a pound of weight. Who cares about a pound? You guys don't race and even if you did, you could lose a pound off of your own bodyweight and cancel it out. Not like it's rotational mass. Hell, even then it won't be something you will notice. Paddock stands are garbage when there is an option like this. Plus it looks super cool. The way some of you guys act, one would think you're adding 595 pounds to the bike.

It's all good. Just a joke. I have lots of fun taking weight off my bike. Gold magnesium wheels next.

I just do not have a need for this style lift. And by the way racing or not racing a bike has nothing to do with what people do with their bikes.

Not criticizing this lift but not for me.

Oh ok. Thought you were serious about the weight lol trust me....if anyone knows about racing or not racing and why people mod their bikes, it's me. Never will race or track the 1199. Tad above slow and tad below moderate pace through canyons at best. Good enough for me on the 1199. The cbr....let's drag shoulders.

So I emaild BS Moto and they said it would be over 100 euro for them to ship to Canada. Wouldn't give me a clear answer why it's cheaper to the US.

For anyone Canucks wondering. Piss me off

Odd but I would prefer the stand to hook on right side of bike that way I can lower the kick stand first and then release.

Tried to order and it would t let me get past the sect payment part wtf. There are no options that show up. And when I try PayPal it says access error. Anyone else with the same first world problem? Lol

I have the same problem. Used both my phone and window computer. Can't get pass the select payment step. Suck that the e-version is not avail. :)

Problem is shipping. Their system had a glitch and allowed us U.S. residents to be able to order it online but when it came down to it, orders got cancelled due to shipping restrictions. It is obviously very heavy and the shipping cost should reflect that. They currently don't have a shipping option overseas and only ship within the European Union. My order went through and I checked out before creating an account and unwillingly ended up paying the VAT as well which was almost €60. They cancelled my order and explained the shipping and how the system should not have allowed it to process through and I bitched them out and also suggested they keep the extra €60 that I overpaid and continue to ship the item after explaining that their system issues are not my fault. If it went through, I should get my stand. They made an exception. I'm still waiting for it but they agreed to ship it so I'm in no rush. I know they cancelled 1 other members order due to shipping as well and suggested they figure out an option to ship to the states since they are losing sales. Charge an arm n a leg for shipping and let the customer decide if they want to pay that fee or not. Still comes out much cheaper than the Bursig so I'm sure some folks would pay $100-$150 for shipping if they had to.

I wouldn't mind paying the extra $100-150 shipping fee. Been wanting this for a while and can't deal with the other one since it requires a little cutting into the fairing. Oh well, soon or later they'll figure it out or someone will. Thanks for replying back.

Just had a talk with the guy from ConStands: they cannot provide a lighter version of the parts mounted to the bike :(
He also mentioned that it was a long and tricky development process they went thru and only this way stability is provided.

I will mount these parts on my Tricolore and if I should find time next year I am going to think about another solution.

I have one of these stands just sitting in my garage. I have to admit I haven't installed the parts to use it after getting the new R.

The weight aside, I was thinking more along the lines if one of the parts gave way while at full tilt. Unlikely, yeah I know, but the warranty would be out the window on that as opposed to a failure of a genuine part.

Maybe okay for just putting the bike up over winter, but the replacement parts don't fill me with confidence, especially for a track day..........

But if someone were to make some up maybe? Titanium......?

Maybe someone who lives in the European Union could look up shipping costs and would possibly be willing to buy these stands for U.S. residents and ship it to them at buyers expense obviously since the company doesn't even offer shipping options to us. You could pay the forum member if the total out of pocket cost seems reasonable. Then you'd get your stand.

Would love to help, but Swtzerland is not in the EU. So I wouldn't have to pay the German VAT (19%), but Swiss customs (8%) plus some admin fee. Talked to my local Ducati dealer, he's an Italian sales guy, so he might get a little discount if more then one stand would be ordered. Shipping from here would be quit expensive (the stand is heavy!), approx. USD 170.- :(

Some of you expressed their doubt about safety of the stand. It took me a while to realize why the two main bolts are very roughly turned on a lathe. First I thought it's just to make it as cheap as possible. But quite the opposite: when the bike is lifted, the "grooved" surface prevents the bike slipping off. Simple but very clever!

I was more wanting another persons input in terms of do you think they are safe or strong enough for what these bikes could throw at them when on the move, not if it will just fall off the stand in the garage?

Can't speak for the stand in question in this post, but I move my Tuono, on the Bursig stand, at least a couple of times a week to get to stuff behind it or pull down my attic steps that are directly above where I store the bike.

It's as solid as a rock, I've never had the bike move on the pins that support it while moving it around.

For those who have the Constands bike lift, do you think the attachment that has to be screwed in nearest the rear wheel will get in the way? My rearsets are higher and further forward than stock, I'm worried the attachment may catch on my boot when I go to change gear.
