Had them both. Both do the job. For the Panigale i prefer the BikeTower and yes, it ´s red too! :D

what it the actual advantage of this stand vs standard front and rear stands other than being able to wheel the bike around?? i see it could be useful in working on the swingarm etc. where you need to unload the suspension but it also blocks access to some of the left side of the bike Pretty neat stand but is it really useful enough for the expense?

I have the Bursig. I have adaptors for my 1098, 1299 and my Tuono V4.

I haven't used it yet on the 1299 as I'm waiting to get track bodywork. The OEM bodywork needs a small semi circle, about and inch in diameter, be cut out for the mount plate.

On my 1098, I swapped out the triple clamp and steering stem bearings, it was perfect for that.

With the Pitbull wedge, I still use the conventional stands for tire changes.

I also use it for storage, it make for wheeling a bike into a tight spot a little easier.

Thanks good points!

I use a Pit bull front pin stand to work on front forks and a Peg Lift stand for lifting the bike for rear suspension work. I have had it for years and it works with just about any bike.. It is very adjustable and will lift the bike by the pegs. getting the swing arm up (taking load off the suspension) and the rear tire off the ground. This allows changing out shocks or adjusting rear swing arm height etc... (even if they are the stock folding pegs) Much smaller and easier to carry to the track also... http://www.bcsportbikes.com/forum/showthread.php/28780-Anyone-have-a-quot-Peg-Lift-quot-bike-stand

I paid $250 which seem s expensive but it has been a real handy item for the last ten years.. and it is easy to carry.. Just loosen the lever arm and remount it flat on the stand for carrying.. You can also adjust the height of the lift by adjusting the arms that go around the pegs. This enables you to fit many different bike setups..
They guy that invented it specializes in the Suzuki Gamma 500 cc imports from the eighties He loves those bikes.. Nice guy I don't know whether he is still making these but they work well. Mine was one of the first. I bought is back around 2006..
** Not to slam the Bursig.. I think it is a great stand but rather pricy and I don't like the fact that on the Panigale.. I have to either cut a small part of the stock fairing (or actually remove it) to make the Bursig stand work. It is impressive however I just don't see me carrying it to the track because it is just too big and heavy etc..
I guess both styles/designs have their advantages and disadvantages

That's a neat stand, haven't seen that one before. I've improvised with a pair of axle stands under fixed foot pegs when swopping out rear shocks.

Forgot to mention, I also like the Bursig when washing the bike. It's great for cleaning the wheels, I sit on a little roller stool and have at it.
