Hi guys, I removed the battery from my new V4, to save weight and now it won’t start any ideas?

Great idea Don,I’ll shoot him a PM right after I get a memory upgrade in my hard drive to handle the answer.

So I thought about JDJs advice and looked for a solution, I ended up re installing the battery and drained the gas tank. Hey I’m thinking at 1.63 lbs per liter, I come out ahead in the weight reduction department. Guess what smart guy, bike still won’t start so the battery obviously has nothing to do with it.

Drain tank and remove battery. Net savings about 28.3 lbs. Bike will handle better, tip in better and even brake better. Will have to add 3 lbs back for Fred Flintstone pedals though. and a pound for bota bag of gin and ketamine to keep the party going I think.

Reinstall your battery. You need it and lithium batteries are exceedingly light.
Refill your tank, obviously you need fuel.
Remove your starter motor, it's very heavy and useless when running.
Remove all brake discs, surprisingly heavy and won't effect starting.

Don’t just remove the disc’s…

Machine off the flanges that they bolt to and while yer there the seals as well!

And with no caliper why leave caliper brackets - those can go too : )

Hmmm, this mod is really popular with v2 owners... they're very interested in flat footing
