battery is dead. my 1199 in my garage and haven't rode it in about a month because my garage is broken. where is the battery located? under the seat like street bikes? lol

If it is similar to the 1299 then it is down behind the faring on the left hand side according to my pictures.

so I found this right beside my lower clutch line by the bottom banjo. I'm guessing I can buy a battery tender for it to use since winter is coming and my bike is gonna be hibernating in the garage 75% of the time. This is my first time messing with a tender so if anyone has any tips I'd appreciate it. Getting one tomorrow from autozone instead of taking my battery to them and have them keep it for the whole day just to charge when instead I can just buy a battery tender and do it at home.

Btw there was another connector that looks very similar to this one right beside it but it doesn't have a + or - on it. I followed the wires and it led towards the gear shifter. Anything to do with DQS? I just didn't know if it was part of the battery tender or not and which ones to connect to what with how many volts for how long lol.

Yeah you can put a battery tender on it.... Not sure what the other line is ....maybe a 12v supply for something?

The one in your hand is the battery plug.. Post a pic of the other plug and maybe we can figure it out..

alright well the one plugged in is the battery charger still don't know what that other connector is for. Anyone else have 2 connectors by this area?

You will probably find, that if you follow it back far enough, the second cable has been a local supply for satnav or similar, and the tail will be tucked away. If you connect the two plugs that you have, you will get a direct feed from your battery.
