Yeah you would think that but consider the loop off the rear cylinder is aluminum but Termi and several other carbon part manufacturers put a carbon cover there and it is easily 100% hotter due to direct contact with the combustion gases fresh from the cylinder. Couple that with air cooling across the remaining exhaust length, along with insulative effects of the mufflers multiple metal and packing layers and the final use of pressed board washers to further separate the components from the heat. I really don't think that there is much of a comparison but those are assumptions that I will check. Therefore, I will put my thermal gun on the 2 components to compare heat load and confirm my suspicions.

Good points, but it's not just about the perishability of the component.

Also consider their closer proximity to body panels and the more closed space into which they would radiate rising heat into.
