There's the fallacy in that line of thinking. Unless you're committed, you don't really have a choice of how you're going to go out. Taking silly risks, like jumping out of perfectly good airplanes or riding a motorcycle, is just that - a silly risk, IMHO.
I cringe every Isle of Man lately since the Dunlop brothers have been competing at the top level. Sure it's in their blood, but their famous dad and uncle died doing the same thing. From the outside, I just think that's an insane choice for William and Michael Dunlop. It's not like they're doing anything truly noble like being a first-responder or fighting a war that needs to be fought. It's a ridiculous stress to put on family members that have already lost and suffered so much. Most people are selfish though, just like I am when I ride my bike in the midst of all the adult responsibilities to my family.
The noblest thing any human being can do, is do what their ment to do, not very many people ever get to that point, most of them punch a clock and live for the weekend. To be able to watch Micheal Dunlop race the Isle of Man is to witness someone doing what he was MENT to do and it is truly noble, he is bringing great joy to many thousands of fans, and woe to his competitors. Marc Marquez is another human doing exactly what he was ment to do, and it is something to behold fully actualized humans at work.
