You should put that boot on your left foot and the other boot on your right foot, that way you can use those black thingies on your boots insides to rub up against the tarmac when you go around a corner balls to the wall. I know it sounds strange, but try it. 
Last year when I got my 1199, it scuffed my boots a bit, and when i looked closer the outer edge of the shifter pedal (outside the rubber cover) was rather sharp, almost serrated, on mine. I took a file and ground it down so the edge was smooth. Since then I haven't noticed any additional scuffing on mine.
I think that's the issue, just checked and it is a bit sharp in places, will try filing it and order some new boots
